I'm glad Obama's people got him to stop wearing the brown jacket. It wasn't a very good look for him.

Barack Obama; always the Statesman.
He was ready for the garbage of today back then. Unless the terrorist wing-nuts being fueled by the hateful rhetoric of McCain-Palin pop up between now and election day, I think Barack actually has a pretty good chance at a substantial victory.
Lord, I do not pray to you often, but please, dear God, lets not relive a loss comparable to RFK or MLK. Please keep us at peace for the next 3000 days. Please give us a chance to rise above all that is here, now.
I look at the economic melt down that preceeded the 1992 elections when "Reganomics" stopped trickling down, killing the last year of Bush-1's term. When Clinton won the election, the market stabilized. The day he took office, the market began surging upward. The market surged on the hope he brought with him. That same hope is what I hear in every word from Barack Obama. By the end of Clinton's 2nd term, there was no national deficit. The clock had been turned off.
Oh, love for that day, again.

The repubs never stop at how low they will stoop. Just read in someplace called Rensselaer County they mailed 300 Absentee Ballots with Osama printed on them. There really is no excuse.
