Marriage Equality Protests Sweep Nation - Photo Gallery

Images are flowing in from the "Join the Impact" rallies in support of marriage equality that went on across the nation yesterday. I'll be bringing you reports and photos as well as any important video that comes in. If you're in a location and see I don't have an image from that city, and you have one, please send it in to tips@towleroad.com - thanks. It would help if you have multiple shots to not send them one at a time, but in one email.
Also, if any of you have pointed us to Flickr or Picasa or similar galleries and webpages, because we're getting so many pictures we're too swamped at the moment to scour your online galleries, if you could email us a few of your best shots that would help a lot. Also, reports on the march - even brief ones on attendance or incidents - are encouraged. I believe Picasa and Flickr users can email galleries to us in a zip file directly from your accounts, and obviously web-ready sizes are best.
We've been posting all the photos in a huge reader-submitted Huge Gallery HERE. So far we have photos up from Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia Washington, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin.
*NOTE - I still have a LOT more of your photos to go through and put in the gallery so keep checking back if you don't see them.

I just came from the DC march, there were tons of people even though at one point it started raining heavily. I haven't been able to find any pictures online of the DC march though.

Looking forward to pics from the Houston rally. The beautiful day brought 'out' lots of beautiful people--both straight and gay; everywhere you looked there were dozens and dozens of signs in the air. cool.

The Oakland rally was great.
There was a powerful speech from the young son of a lesbian couple. He couldn't have been more than 10 years old.
He said that he didn't know his family was any different than anyone else's family until he learned that people wanted to discriminate against his two moms.
It was incredible.

I went to the demonstration in Mpls. It was nice crowd , especially given it was put together in 5 days (like many cities).
I'm really thankful for those who organized our event locally - it was really well done
I found these pics on flickr from the event.

Amazing day and an incredible number of people...

This is such a proud day. We are at the dawn of a new day for gays and lesbians. So incredibly inspiring.
As gross as the protect marriage people are, they did one thing--united us along with our straight allies and we have woken up from our apathy.
Let's harness this and bring about real change not only in CA but all over the US.
I felt a sense of "community" for the first time in ages. People throw around the word GLBT "community" all the time but today was different--community actually meant something.

As my (straight) friend who joined me puts it: "You all just did something thats going to be a part of history."
I'd also like to take every opportunity I get to thank my grandmother for urging me to go to the rally.

The DC march was amazing - as Wes said, we had some rain, but it did not seem to turn away too many people. Horns honking in support, people drenched, but all chanting and cheering for equality. I'm so glad I was a part of it.

More pics from San Francisco. Was there a later bunch of people who marched? Not sure. I went with the first group.

AND WHEN WE WENT TO THE STREETS , ONLY ONE CAR HAD ASSHATS WHO SCREAMED ANTI-GAY CRAP!
AND WE WERE ALL SHOCKED WHEN IT TURNED OUT THAT WANDA SYKES WAS IN THE CROWD AND AGREED TO GET UP AND GIVE A SPEECH ABOUT HER OWN GAY MARRIAGE!
I'M ON SUCH A HIGH!
AND SO PROUD OF ALL OF US AROUND THE COUNTRY!
AND KUDOS TO YOU AT TOWLEROAD. YOU GUYS WERE THE IMPETUS FOR A LOT OF WHAT HAPPENED TODAY!
LOVING THE GAYS!
