Sen. Ted Kennedy Suffers Seizure At Inauguration Luncheon
Sen. Ted Kennedy suffered an apparent seizure at an inauguration luncheon today. He was taken away by ambulance and was conscious when being carried out of the venue. More as it becomes known. Kennedy was treated for a brain tumor last year.

I pray for the best for Senator Kennedy. He was one of those who made today possible. AND he'll be one of the ones who will make ENDA pass, support the repeal of DADT, and push for progressive federal judges who support gay people's civil rights (had to get that last part in before any of the Kennedy haters start their shit).

Like most of us mere mortals, Kennedy was not perfect. He made some major mistakes in his younger life, but has grown into "the lion" of the US Senate for all of those of us whom the Rich White Straight Male oligarchy would keep down. After some initial doubts in some areas, he became as strong a champion for gay rights as anyone in the Senate, and the innate kindness that Marlene Dietrich's daughter described observing in him when both were children and his father and her mother were committing adultery together on Cap d'Antibes rose to his adult surface.
The latest was that, after initial discussion to have a Republican introduce it, he would shortly be the chief sponsor of a yet to be introduced Senate DADT Repeal bill.
Let us hope that one of President Obama's first duties is NOT sitting in the front role of a funeral.
