David Beckham Has a Huge Appetite for Pig Bottoms

The secrets of David Beckham's diet have been revealed.

Beckham from UK's The List:

"David Beckham likes eating 'little bum'. The soccer superstar, who is currently playing for Italian team AC Milan, reportedly has a huge appetite for Culatello - which translates as 'little bum' - an Italian delicacy made out of pig's rears. David - who has been in the European country since January without wife Victoria - was first given the food by his club's former manager Carlo Ancelotti, and the pair have been spotted eating it on a number of occasions. A source said: 'David can't get enough of this fine delicacy. It's got a much lighter and less meaty taste than most other prosciuttos. He's dying to get Victoria to try some.'"

  1. I'm not clear on how this works, so forgive me, but wasn't Beckham contracted under the L.A. team for a while? Now he's with Italy? Where was he before L.A.? Why all the trading?

  2. Damn! Every time I think I'm over him. I see a picture like that and. . . That is one F.I.N.E looking man.

  3. Italian bottom here. I guess I need to contact Beckham. ;)

  4. I think this title is a new low for the Towleroad double entendre.

  5. Yes, but does Culatello go well with honeydew melon? I'm sure Beckham goes well with a wide variety of melons.

  6. Yeah, sorry. Couldn't resist.

  7. I'm totally ready to be shouted down but the tats just don't work for me. It's like graffiti on the Parthenon.

  8. CJ, he is still under contract with LA Galaxy. They just loaned him out to AC Milan for the rest of their season, which ended last week I believe. So he's currently making plans to come back to LA for the remainder of their season.

I'm not expecting he's going to get a warm welcome this time. The last Galaxy game I was at, people wearing Beckham jerseys had taped "Sell-Out" across his name.

  9. Hey Crisp, you live in LA? I'm moving out that way from NYC next week.

  10. Phoenix, actually. But we do LA or San Diego nearly every weekend in the summer to escape the heat.

LA Galaxy is my fave MLS team, but I'm losing patience with how crappy they are. The Beckham drama doesn't help.

  11. Best title of 2009 so far... I was almost tempted NOT to read the article and preserve the image in my mind.

  12. Hahaha! Agreed, Greg. One of the best titles thus far. I too was tempted not to read the article and ruin the mental image the title evoked.

  13. The arse eater David Beckham will NOT be moving back to LA Galaxy - believe me.

He is being courted by UK club Chelsea FC at the moment, a club with mega bucks but no jewellery (cups or medals).

He may be good looking, but he is tragically thick (upstairs). He once even proclaimed himself a "Gay Icon", just like his miserable wife did.

These people just don't geddit do they.

  14. Chelsea's season just ended, Glynn. He'll play the rest of the Galaxy's season. But then he'll be gone faster than Victoria's career.

PS: Speaking of Chelsea, that's the team my boyfriend Frank Lampard plays for.

  15. Yes Crispy, I know the UK season is over - Italy's too. Then he'll go wherever the handbag (monetary reward) is fattest.

For your sake I hope he doesn't move to London, just image him and Council Spice turning up on your boyfriends doorstep demanding tea and muffins. Then again perhaps he'll pop around alone for some Culatello?

  16. Eeek! Keep Becks and that soulless stick-figure he calls a wife away from my Frank. He's had a tough year.

    Posted by: crispy | Jun 4, 2009 6:52:50 PM

  17. Umm, Glynn, he is a gay icon. There's a reason everyone on this site knows all about him, though I doubt most of them follow his sport.

I'm more surprised that he hasn't been with his wife since January. Maybe he finally wise up, since five minutes with that woman would drive anyone over the brink.

  18. I disagree strongly Paul R. Eye candy does not equal Gay Icon.

It is an abused term. How exactly do gay people identify with David Beckham? What has he done that strikes a cord with us - so much so that he deserves to be a Gay Icon. What example has he set to deserve our attention, has he suffered in ways we recognise and bounced back in a way that says "I'm me - get used to it".

Don't get me wrong, Gay Icons don't have to be gay or Barbara or Bette or Kylie. But surely we should want our Icons to be more than just fantasy wanks.

  19. To answer Paul R, Beckham has been supportive of gay men and acknowledges that he has a huge following in the gay community in the UK, USA, Europe and elsewhere. He (to my knowledge) has never been disparaging to gays. He is comfortable enough in his own skin to pose in erotic photographs (for underwear ads, mainly) that he knows are primarily aimed at men (gay or straight). He obviously has style and takes care of himself. I think those are qualities that have attracted me, not to mention he is/was one damned-good footballer.

  20. He's supportive of gay men? How? By stripping down to his Calvin's and posing for us? Is that how he acknowledges the gay community. Is that want makes him a Gay Icon? Someone enlighten me please!

I guess I must have missed his "gays should be allowed to marry - you know, like what me and Victoria did" supportive statement from Milan last week. Yeah right. No - he was too busy shooting a Japanese whisky commercial (cos it pays more).

Christ, his support must have been so missed whilst he was away from California when it really mattered during Prop8.

Never mind eh? Perhaps he's got an Armani underwear ad campaign coming up soon - that will make us feel better for sure. Or, maybe he'll be launching a new fragrance range. How about "Shallow" the new EDT from David Beckham. OOOOOhhhhh - We'll be queuing up to suck that one in - I bet my little lame bum.
