These guys *REALLY* don’t look good in this story. What a bunch of losers. Of course, they were dismissed because they were in the porn, which is wrong. But man, these guys are pretty awful.

Speaking from experience, NCAA Div I athletes can and do get away with murder as long as they bring back titles. The fact that they come off so awful is because they are, as most such NCAA Div I athletes are. Any time an athlete is getting in trouble, you can safely bet that s/he is a horrible person (though, not always). However, Nebraska is in the wrong here–if not for not having dismissed them earlier for doing illegal things, for dismissing them after they did something legal that hurt their image.

I watched this yesterday and was pleased with the reporting. I thought ESPN did a great job handling the story.

And the wrestlers are correct. I have never bought the NCAA violations. They were dismissed for doing porn. But I would go a step further and say it’s because it was gay porn. I doubt either of these guys would have received negative reactions from their teammates or coaches for being in Playgirl or doing porn with a couple of chicks.

I don’t know. The guy’s are HOT and I do want to believe that they were dismissed for doing porn so that I can be angry. But, Paul didn’t help his case at all with the lying or cover-up about other Nebraska charges. I think they thought they were above the law and got caught. They also probably never figured that “gay” photos would be connected back to them. Oh well, I’ll still watch him.

I agree, DR. The wrestlers were dismissed for doing “gay” porn. Had the two wrestlers done “straight” porn, this story would have never even made the news.

Nebraska, is steeped in archaic Christian morals, which are inconsistent and marginal at best. The Christians increasing hatred of gays is akin to the Nazis hatred of the Jews.

The headline “Nebraska Wrestlers Dismissed for Gay Porn Profiled on ESPN” sounds like the wrestlers were once again dismissed for the gay portn profiled on ESPN.

These guys seem, on the one hand, like very likable & adventurous young men; they know, instinctively, that they’re physically beautiful–& in that they seem more than a tad ‘shady.’ However, aren’t they also being exploited by a porn industry that views them as objects for their profit & also for others’ anonymous sexual gratification?–how come we don’t hear that protest–too ‘naive,’ & too ‘idealistic?’ They’re both being used even as they are also the users; sad!
