  8. The brightness of the night sky is called Olber's paradox. In an infinite and uniform universe you would see a star in every direction you looked. Steady State Theory supports tried to claim that dust obscured most stars. That doesn't work, the dust would just heat up until it was glowing too. The only explanation for the darkness of the night sky is an expanding and finite universe consistent with the Big Bang.
