Richard Socarides: Kagan 'a Brilliant, Pragmatic, Progressive...'

Gay former White House Special Assistant to President Clinton and attorney Richard Socarides appeared on CNN's American Morning today to discuss Elena Kagan, with whom he worked for four years.

Says Socarides: "She's a brilliant, pragmatic, progressive who is intent on hearing all sides to fashion a solution that works for the most amount of people..."

  1. Who in TV-land is this tired, bitter troll friends with that we are forced to listen to her blather incessantly?

She had a minor post in the Clinton administration 700 years ago. She's not an expert on anything.

  2. Not only is she not an expert in anything, but her fan Richard is a democratic apologist. He's a milque toast washup that does the twenty four hour news junket (due only to his tangential involvement in the clinton administration) to render his white noise lackey praise.

  3. Uh, Tank, Socarides is the "she" to whom I was referring.

  4. Yeah, you're not worth reading carefully, 24play..."she"...you must be in your seventies.

  5. Richard Socarides is a rentboy water carrier for whatever agenda you wish to push at the present time. Her real views will be flushed out over the next several weeks.

  6. Wow, bitter much?

I don't understand this hostility to someone who's a fairly compelling speaker advocating pretty much all the right stuff. Sure, he's more of a pragmatist than a firebrand but that's hardly a disqualification in politics.

  7. Alan Miles,

Wasn't Socarides one of your housemates on Fire Island?

  8. "24PLAY,"

And, what, I should disclose that in a blog comment posting because, you know, I'm really Richard's paid shill or something?

  9. Not paid, Alan. But clearly a shill.
