Outspoken anti-gay rights pastor Ken Hutcherson and a group of parents in 2008 called for cancellation of the Day of Silence. They told the school board that the event was an example of Mount Si teachers forcing their liberal political agenda on students. 1. Good for Manhunt. Grindr has been incredibly slow in expanding past the iPhone platform.

  2. University of Arizona creates workaround for this heinous act by Jan Brewer

While it is nice that we will benefit from their decision, it would have been nice if it wasn't just financially motivated. They say so in their own press release.

"The UA wanted to cover both gay and heterosexual relationships, because "in order for us to be competitive, to be able to attract talented people, we need to be able to offer benefits that other employers are offering," said Allison Vaillancourt, UA vice president for human resources."

Too bad it wasn't " we did it because they are equal and we will not be forced to discrimiate against anyone!"

They get ZERO credit in my book.

  3. The Trunk show highlights how varied fashion can be. With Ryan modeling I can not tell the difference between the $25 and $600 trunks.

As regards all these assaults, I again want to express how grateful I am that towleroad.com gathers these reports. This is history in the making, and I am looking forward to the day when this seemingly commonplace brutality will be a shameful part of the past.

Also, this Prop 8 trial is going to be very engrossing over time, especially now Kagan joining the SCOTUS.

  4. BTW, you wrote Iranian asylum seekers are being returned to Iraq. I think its Iraqis back to Iraq.

Anyway, I wonder if this callous act is related to the new conservative government coming into power in the U.K.

I could see Margaret Thatcher doing something so cold.

Maybe some country (e.g. Canada)) will help them escape the forced repatriation. Why not?

  7. Personally, I think the Rabbi is more offensive to me than the venerable Helen Thomas. The wrong she did was just in the location ... she should have said the Jews should just go back to ISRAEL.

  8. Re: Weather report skit -- I found it troubling on three counts. It stereotyped Mexicans. It stereotyped Jews. It wasn't funny. It really wasn't funny.

Re: Origins of the Earth and Moon story -- Someone in the MSM is going to interview a religious Creationist about this new finding, to set up a "science vs. religion" conflict. The more interesting story would be comparing this scientifically based origins research with other scientifically based origins research. Let's have a conflict between scientists for a change!

  9. How can I read this at work if there are CONSTANTLY pictures of shirtless men? Please, just stop. If people want to see that then they can go to xtube.

  10. Well, TONY, maybe you should just do work at work if folks there are so prudish that BEACH attire might offend. The rest of us enjoy Towleroad's variety - including its occasional shirtlessness. It's not like Andy is posting pics of fellatio or anything.

If it's that big a deal just read it when you get home.
