Zimbabwe President Mugabe: "No To Gay Rights"

While speaking to those gathered at an Apostolic Church, Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe reiterated that he will not include rights for gays in a new draft of the country's constitution. He also took the time to once again compare gays to pigs and dogs.

M “At some point, I realised that I was reprimanding blameless dogs and pigs, which are aware that marriage is for procreation. We say no to gays! We will not listen to those advocating the inclusion of their rights in the constitution."

Also: "We say no to gay rights, We will not listen to those advocating for their rights in the new constitution."

But the one thing Mugabe is fine with? Having multiple wives. Said he:

“Our Constitution allows polygamy. We will not force people into monogamous marriages. It’s there even in the bible - Solomon was not only given wealth but many wives.”

  1. There's a very important point here. Anti-gay Fundie propagandists always say that if gay marriage is allowed then why not polygamy. But it's actually The Bible that promotes polygamy -- not us.

  2. That's a very good point, David. Then again, I'm not sure logic has ever been the mainstay of the religionists position on gay rights.

  4. What do you expect from someone who spot a Hitler mustache?

If only the UN will stop giving financial aids to Zimbabwe.

Fuck them and their multiple wives.

  5. But will women be allowed multiple husbands? Doubt it.

  6. I've remained baffled why many Christians have backed off of polygamy. It's pretty clear in the Bible that it's allowed.

You can even have relations with your wife's servant if your wife is infertile. I believe that's one of the first uses of assisted reproductive technology.

  8. No to foreign aid then. It's Mugabe's choice to see his people starve.

  9. So he says that those who think marriage is only for procreation are pigs and dogs?

  10. This butcher should be assassinated. Simple as that. However, will someone else just replace him? Still, put two in his skull.

  13. How about 'no to aid to Africa'?

  14. To think that at one time people considered this man as a sort of Nelson Mandela type for the former Rhodesia. Shows how lame Western media is.

Instead he ruined Zimbabwe and became a ruthless tyrant. Who would have ever thought that when the former Rhodesia, a country club apartheid state, became Zimbabwe that in a matter of years this kind of run of the mill Uganda- like despotic government would emerge.

He should be on a billboard with the caption:

"Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely."

What a horrible monster! God help Zimbabwe.
