Read: Keith Olbermann Thanks Supporters, Explains Suspension in Letter to 'Countdown' Viewers
Keith Olbermann has released a letter to viewers of Countdown, thanking his supporters, and explaining the events which led to his very brief suspension.
"You should also know that I did not attempt to keep any of these political contributions secret; I knew they would be known to you and the rest of the public. I did not make them through a relative, friend, corporation, PAC, or any other intermediary, and I did not blame them on some kind of convenient 'mistake' by their recipients. When a website contacted NBC about one of the donations, I immediately volunteered that there were in fact three of them; and contrary to much of the subsequent reporting, I immediately volunteered to explain all this, on-air and off, in the fashion MSNBC desired."

Olbermann is returning to his 8pm slot on MSNBC Tuesday night.

Apparently work rules and contractual obligations are just for the "little people".

Ted, rules and obligations are entirely for those without lawyers or public relations.
That said, rules have to be reasonable. When you look at how other cable news networks operate, MSNBC is being very harsh on Keith, and for no particular benefit to anyone.

He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword.
I'm just pissed that this may mean Dan Choi will go on TV again soon.

Oh Lord... Olbermann is going douche bag over this.
I had hoped that his suspension meant Fox was getting a new host.

To PAD: Who are you? Your posting lacks any logical thought. It runs in line with the Fox Noise twisted views. Are you saying that Olbermann is suited to be at Fox?
Are you some Right Wing Bloger? Perhaps some ill informed zealot?
If you're gay, then you have the right to express your thoughts about Keith. Most liberals love his views. Perhaps the best exapmle whould be when the California Supreme Court ruled that gay marriage was a right. (BEFORE PROP 8 came up) Keith had two special comments about this issue. He was in full support, and he remains so.
I can't help but believe that you're a Fox bloger. Your statments smack at any logical reasoning.
You have the right to TUNE out Keith's show. Again, I can't help but wondering how you arrive at such inane statements.
When Keith returns tonight, I'm sure the ratings will top O'Reilly's !
