  2. Hmmmm...

I like the 'Some Dudes Marry Dudes' tag but the images all seem to play to stereotypes.

I'm not so sure about this one.

  3. It's the analogue to T-Shirt Hell's "I only support gay marriage if both chicks are hot."

  4. Eh. The photos are OK but it looks like a fairly typical fashion series, without any much emotional content. "Some dude models are paid to pose with other dude models."

  5. Wasted opportunity. Guys, esp. CW, look hot, but no emotions nor speciality.

  6. None of the photos read as marriage to me. I prefer the Jason Morgan / Mark Ricketson marriage layout: http://thefashionisto.com/jason-morgan-mark-ricketson-by-matthias-vriens-mcgrath-for-out-magazine/

  7. *Must be at least THIS white while being gay to get married and be considered beautiful.* Plus, the two dudes look similar enough to each other to be kin in some of the images. Nice idea but very typical, horrible execution.

  8. Esp the first one. They look like brothers. Totally gross.

  9. Same thing with that editorial on the Fashionisto: Two brunettes (it was blondes at one point in history) with the same height and haircut and build depict how amazing and obstacle-free it can be to be that gay AND white, AND loaded. Plus the image of the joint bachelor party? *Vom*

  10. It's almost as if it's mocking marriage equality. Why not find two actual hot gay guys who are in love and photograph them for an editorial.

  11. Where are the gay male models?

    Posted by: Bill | Feb 22, 2012 11:54:35 AM

  12. It's awesome ... free advertising for marriage equality.

  13. on a completely different note, chad white is completely unrecognizable with a full head of hair, to me at least.

  14. Some Dudes Marry Dudes but don't wear wedding rings.

  15. Wow, pretty much all off of you are petty and awful. Sometimes white people date each other. Sometimes they look similar. Sometimes you should just not care.

  16. I second Munro's statements.

    Posted by: Asher | Feb 22, 2012 2:06:36 PM

  17. Really? A magazine spread featuring slim, attractive, white people as models?! OMG, stop the presses! I can certainly see what all the outrage is about. Oh, and I can't roll my eyes at these comments that far out of the top of my head. Sheesh. Get.Over.It.

  18. Well, that was stupid.

  19. @Munroe
    @Asher;

What's the problem even if they were brothers ?

  20. Images are romantic and sexy but not necessarily marriage oriented- I mean it shows to models playing around- at least a kiss would have been nice.

  21. @MIKEBOSTON What stereotypes? A lover's gaze? Playfully pulling on your husband's suspenders? Hugging? Playfully carrying your man? Mmk.

  22. when did you all become so humorless? FLAUNT is a FASHION magazine, not a political editorial. it's a lovely shoot that's meant to advertise the clothes and the models while embracing gay marriage...in a FASHION FORWARD way.

ugh. the comments section on this blog gets more and more out of touch daily.

  23. How is this playing to stereotypes? It's FLAUNT magazine for God's sake. Did you expect a pair of average looking guys in their 40's?
Did you expect a pair of un-athletic looking effeminate twinks in matching tight fitting clothes? Now THAT would be stereotyping.
