Dogs don't know the difference between "effect" and "affect".

Oh but it would! Don't you know that once we get same-sex marriage, man-dog marriage is next?! Seriously though, I love this pic. Made me literally LOL.

oh, great the grammar nazis are now correcting dogs. how clever of you.

Carl, if no one ever corrects them, how will they learn?

This is cute but silly and slightly hypocritical. I remember people attacking others who brought their dogs to Prop 8 rallies with messages tied on their dogs.

But if it becomes legal, someone will want to marry the dog next! Rick Santorum said so

If this dog can spell "marriage" correctly, he certainly can learn the difference between "effect" and "affect". Sadly, such grammatical ignorance cuts into his message. A full day out in the dog house for him!

My border collie uses spell check.

What an adorable dog. I wish the message were actually clever though, instead of lame. Maybe - "Support marriage equality. The two husbands who take care of me need it and I need them. Love from.... (fido)"

I had to fight the cat. She wanted to be part of the grammar police, but I told her to let the dog be.

It's a slippery slope, people! Let them misspell "affect" and next they'll be writing "it's" for "its"!
(Well okay, maybe they already do...)
For the record, I'm on the side of those who take care with their grammar and their spelling.

Uh... it's not a grammatical error...
Posted by: BobN | May 29, 2012 12:09:48 PM
@bobn uh...yes, it is technically a grammar or word usage error as opposed to a spelling error.

Damn autospell!

That dog is adorable! Can't spell for sh*t, but adorable, nonetheless.

Deiman, my cats pointed out that using spell check would not have an effect on the sentence because effect was spelled correctly.

Brain cannot change letters...grammatical error cannot be corrected by system tools...incompatible input value...OCD unit overheating! Gah! The stress caused by such things.
