If I can make out with a woman and make it look hot as hell, I don’t see why straight men can’t do it with each other. Must they go overboard and get all uncomfortable and make a joke of it? It’s like watching women fall over in comedies to get laughs as if the only way a woman can be funny is to endure physical pain. It’s so sad but at least they did something… I guess?

“Bring me the bigots, homophobes, and racists alike. Bring me false Christians and self-righteous fraught with indignation and spite. Bring me the lemmings blinded by fear, the misinformed zealots holding their beliefs so wrongly dear. Bring me political extremists guided by right wings and narrow-mindlessly straight. Bring me these hypocrites and idiots, so holier than thou, and I shall reap UNGODLY PROFITS from their ignorance and hate (and all that chicken they ate.)”

    My thoughts:

Their hearts seem to be in the right place.

It promotes the idea that CFA’s food is really really good, when it’s just a friggin’ chicken sandwich.

Mike Smith is really hot. When can I stage a kiss-in with him?

  5. Artie_in_Lauderdale says

He asks the two gay guys if men have a certain style when they kiss. The he has a sudden insight and realizes that he shouldn’t even be asking that because gay people kiss just like everyone else does. Dialogue among Americans, whether gay, bi or straight, is a good thing because the result is often these kind of insights.

@ STUFFED ANIMAL: Could you please take those violent Jesus-worship images (Jesus being scourged) off your website. It looks like you worship Mel Gibson and “The Passion of Christ/Jesus Chainsaw Massacre.”

I was there when they did this. It was a shameless plug for their own notoriety and had nothing to do with the actual protest. It was in fact pretty disgusting to watch them make fun of the severity of the situation and then engage in a Chick-Fil-A lunch as though the entire day meant nothing more to them than a photo op. It was and is just more self-centered D-List Hollywood reality TV type mentality gone awry. In fact I take back the D-List part. Who the f%#k are these guys?

  7. Zlick says

This was really fun to watch live, and the crowd roared and laughed with approval at the time. (I didn’t find out they were straight guys till soon afterwards). It was really a hoot – and though they DID buy an ice cream, that was only to use it as a prop for another sexy and somewhat messy make-out session.

(Is it hotter that it was two straight guys?)

Anyway, some later said it was a bad move for “the cause,” whatever, blah, blah, blah. That was said about the entire kiss-in, so those killjoys can bite me.

The whole event was fun. Although, I gotta admit, there was a lot of community support from drivers on the roads … of Hollywood, California. Not your typical Chik-Fil-A location.

(Although, I was appalled at huge lines two days earlier for so-called “Appreciation Day” at a Northridge location, about 15 minutes outside Hollywood.)

Anyway, these guys were fun. And I enjoyed kissing my boyfriend about five dozen times in the space of an hour. We’ll have to try the ice-cream-kiss sometime!!

a waste of my life, will never get those 5 minutes back…. this does nothing, besides giving them some publicity…

they made fun of the situation, the cause, and gay men….. I mean, who kisses like that?

  9. testintg says

Well Mike was cute and seemed like a good guy, but the “comedian” was sort of attention whoring and it is pretty annoying that they chose to still support chick-fil-a by buying their food.

  10. Icebloo says

It was nice to see some straight support but I would have felt better about it if they had not bought anything from Chik-Full-of-Hate ! The best way to make them change it to stop buying their products.

  11. andrew says

That was fun to watch. Mike Smith, the tall guy with the pony tail, is HOT! I gotta admit, I was totally turned on watching him. But alas, he has a good looking blond girlfriend.

  12. UFFDA says

ASTRO BOY – you got that right!

So they bought the product. So what? So they got a little attention. So what? They did a good thing and you can bet they’re on our side. Their fathers’ generation aren’t. I call it progress…with hotness.

And so and so taking his hair down while in flagrante delecto (for a wild kiss) was fine abandon to boot.

  13. Stefan says

Stunts like this are why we continue to lose the culture war among moderates still trying to decide what they think about gay rights. You know, the ones who keep not coming out to vote favorably for us on referendums. Because on one side you have people who get to claim they are simply “pro family” and worried about “the social fabric” and “sexual morality” and “the children.” And on the other side you have LGBT folk and allies who think that being abrasive, juvenile, and frankly stupid is somehow going to make a difference. And yes, I put Menino and Emmanuel in this category.

  14. Daniel Berry, NYC says

I don’t know how anybody could find fault with this. But on the other hand, I know just how b*tchy my gay brethren can be. Well–get over it: this was a cool, sweet thing for them to do. The only thing I didn’t like was–all that mouthwash and breath mints. REALLY??

  15. t says

thanks guys. isn’t amazing how straight guys can do exactly the same act as gay men and it’s taken totally differently

let’s hug and pat some butt!

  16. the nathan says

…oh, but yeah their kiss was dumb. if real gay people were so unsexy i’m sure chic-fil-a wouldn’t feel threatened at all 😛 but hey, they’re straight and one (the hot one) is from chicago, what do you expect?

  17. redball says

i agree w/ those saying FAIL!!!!

their message and actions would’ve been much better aligned had they NOT bought CFA and instead done the same video but with MCDONALD’S food while sitting at/right outside CFA.

    ugh

  18. BrokebackBob says

Any gay person who rejects the genuine demonstrated acceptance and support of straight folks is an ass. These guys rock! And it’s -these- kinds of straight guy that I can echo “I love the straights” back to.
If we are going to move forward with equal right for everyone, including freedom to marry, we must embrace the genuine straight folks out there who demonstrate their support and as a result, deserve ours wholeheartedly.
