Frank Ocean Called 'Faggot' During Chris Brown Assault

MTV News reports that the Frank Ocean and Chris Brown assault case is closed:

Brown_oceanOdd Future crooner Ocean spoke to cops earlier and told officials he was "desirous of prosecution in this incident,"
but on Saturday he announced on his Tumblr account
that he was choosing "sanity. No Criminal Charges. No civil lawsuit."

Whitmore said his office just needs to confirm with Ocean that his Tumblr statement is accurate and then they will close the books on the case. Sheriff's officials had spoken to Ocean and were in the process of interviewing witnesses, but they had not yet chatted with Brown, who might have faced misdemeanor battery charges in the case, which Whitmore said amounts to "unwanted touching."

"All investigations are important and we were going to talk to witnesses and Chris Brown, but now that's not necessary," he said.

Brown, who sources told TMZ was not involved in the fight, was seen sporting a hard cast on his hand last week, with no explanation given for his injury. Ocean, meanwhile, tweeted that he'd suffered a cut finger in the incident, which he said might hamper his performance
 at the Grammys on Sunday.

Details of the police report are emerging, however. Ocean said he was called a "faggot" bye someone during the assault.

TMZ:

Ocean told police Brown tried to shake his hand, but Ocean refused, telling Brown he was in his parking spot. Ocean claimed that's when Brown punched him in the face. According to the report, Ocean said two of Brown's goons then jumped in to help Brown ... pushed him into a corner and attempted to kick him.

Ocean -- who revealed last year that he'd once had a romantic relationship with a man -- also said he believes he heard someone yell "f**got!" but he's unsure who made the statement.

Cops also say Ocean told them that Brown threatened to shoot him, saying, "We can bust on you too!" Ocean told police the whole fight lasted about two or three minutes.

  1. Chris Brown strikes me as a particularly vile person.

  2. Did either gentlemen use the N-word? And would that make it a 'hate' crime?

  3. Why am i not surprised? It was pretty obvious from the start that the word was used. Anything Chris Brown is involved in will involve hitting someone or bigotry.

  4. Ignorance. Disgusting. Chris and his boys are nothing but trouble, but I don't think Frank is a saint, either. I think both guys could be lying about one another to ruin each other's reputations. In any case, Chris is going to mess with the wrong person one day if he keeps us his actions.

  5. "Did either gentlemen use the N-word? And would that make it a 'hate' crime?"

    No, Ratbastard,

If the bodyguards weren't there Frank and Chris would have used the n-word...during hot sex.

Hey, that would've made it a 'love' crime.

  6. Chris' side is worse in this because it initiated violence, but Frank Ocean is wrong for refusing Chris' handshake and making a snotty scene over a parking space. Team Ocean seems just as petty and immature as Team Brown.

  7. I wouldn't shake Chris Brown's hand either. He's a disgusting human being.

  8. Jake; It's quite obvious that Frank has an ego, but frankly why has he to handshake a guy who insults him several times? I know Frank is not innocent at that either, but if Chris really wants to make peace there are a lot of ways to soften their relationship.

I don't know if Chris is really that vile, in my opinion he is a spoiled brat surrounded by people that don't really care about him, because a real friend would tell him to shut up from time to time and stop screwing things.
Chris is a bland singer, and he puts an extra effort to look very macho. And in the end that looks fake and cause him tons of trouble

Frank has a lot of talent, and he is not exactly a mainstream artist (even when his albums sales tell a different story), so he would be smart if avoid in the future this kind of bravado situation (and other scandals)

  11. Someone lock up Chris Brown and his "crew."

    Throw away the key.

    We'll all be better off.

  13. Brown is being investigated for lying about community services in the Riahanna case according to TMZ.Maybe his probation will be revoked

  14. Frank Ocean -- sings pretty songs that he composes, collaborates artistically with his music collective friends, openly discusses his gay side, takes the high road when attacked by lowlife.

Chris Brown -- beats up women, beats up openly gay men, beats up inanimate objects. Lies about completing community service sentence, abetted by his mother. Maintains a Pit Bull breeding side business.

  18. "What exactly would one expect?"

I don't know, David. Exactly what you'd expect from two young egotistical multi-millionaires. Even older ones: Maher and Trump.

  19. Chris Brown is a disaster in the making and all because the skeezy little twerp can't admit that he is gay. Homophobic self-loathing can only lead to tragedy. Someone needs to intervene with Brown before he harms himself or kills somebody just to prove he ain't when in fact he is.

  20. Chris is a criminal who has something to hide.
