Watch LIVE: Minnesota House Committee on Civil Law Hearing on Marriage Equality

The first marriage equality hearing has begun before a Minnesota House committee.

Those interested can tune in here.

As I noted last week, the chances look very good for the bill to get to both the Senate and House floors.

  1. I'm watching this hearing and it has exposed a personal prejudice of mine. I saw that an upcoming speaker was a *Baptist* minister and I assumed he'd be not only anti marriage equality, but anti-gay. But he gave a very eloquent speech in favor of gay marriage. In fact, it has been one pro-gay marriage minister after the next.

  2. Lynne Osterman's testimony was good. She said how awful she feels about voting for the Minnesota DOMA when she was in the statehouse. Good message to the current house!
