Alec Baldwin Threatens 'Toxic Queen' Reporter on Twitter, Deletes Account

Alec Baldwin deleted his entire Twitter account after unleashing a tirade against a Daily Mail reporter in which he characterized the reporter as a "toxic little queen" and threatened to "f**k [him] up" by inserting foot into said reporter's ass.

A_baldwinGawker reports that the rant happened after the "Daily Mail published a report that Baldwin's wife had tweeted throughout Gandolfini's funeral service."

"Queen" appears to be one of Baldwin's favored slurs. In 2011, he made a few headlines with a similar Twitter rant, although that one was directed at an "uptight queen" Starbucks barrista named Jay with an "attitude problem."

Baldwin's entire tirade, AFTER THE JUMP...

  1. Baldwin is about as politically liberal as they come and this little episode is an excellent example of how POLITICAL support of gay rights does NOT necessarily translate to social acceptance or respect.

Even the most politically liberal of men (and women) are often homophobic on a personal, social level, even if that homophobia is more muted than it used to be.

That said, use of the word "queen" and the threat of physical violence suggests that the reporter in question is which case this just goes to show that even straight men who are willing to accept homosexuality are NOT and never will be willing to respect effeminacy in men.......nor should they.

Bottom line is this--if Baldwin was assailing this guy's effeminacy, his tweets were understandable and not inherently homophobic--but if he was assailing him for his sexuality, the tweets demonstrate how little meaning the political support of liberals for gay rights mean in terms of real SOCIAL acceptance.

  3. I don't understand why people love Alec so much. Yes, he's funny, but he obviously has a very bad temper problem... I mean, he punches holes in walls of his dressing rooms, threatens people publicly, and let's not forget those lovely voice mails he left his daughter. I mean, come on... at what point are we going to stop rewarding someone whose first response to everything is vitriol and the threat of violence?

  4. Are we really surprised/shocked/bamboozled that Alec Baldwin's wife tweeted at a funeral? My greatest concern is what Alec might have been doing but I guess nothing would surprise me there either. I betcha he'll be back on Twitter real soon as well.

  5. Twitter and anger management issues are not a good mix. Deleting the account was probably a good call.

  6. Also, -so- classy that he would post this vulgar tirade using his foundation Twitter account. It only leads me to conclude that
the beneficiary of the foundation is AB himself.

  7. Alec is a good actor but this and many other rants of his indicate that he has some serious personality issues.

  8. LOL at Rick's armchair analysis. Alec Baldwin has no idea if the Daily Mail reporter is gay, straight, effeminate or a beer-guzzling manly man. He's using misogynistic language as a means to insult him... the same way you do every day.

  10. I don't know why, I thought it was funny. And I fully intend to start using "toxic little queen" regularly.

  11. In Ted Casablanca's old eonline column blind items, Baldwin was the top suspect to be the bisexual Lloyd Boy-Toyed. This site has the items & guesses:

  12. Alec Baldwin has infinitely more respect for gay men than a tox little queen like"Rick." Go Google the interviews Baldwin's given over the years where he speaks respectfully and lovingly of the gay men who gave him support and advice when he was just a struggling actor/waiter. Lord knows he has a ton of "anger management issues" -- which is why the tabs bait him so relentlessly. But at heart he's a good guy.

  13. "Alec Baldwin has no idea if the Daily Mail reporter is gay, straight, effeminate or a beer-guzzling manly man."

I suspect that he either DOES know or is assuming he is because he is a male who biz/gossip reporter, which is what drove his choice of words.

"He's using misogynistic language as a means to insult him"

No, "queen" when applied to a man has only one meaning: effeminate and gay; it has nothing to do with women--in fact, the fury Baldwin displays here probably has to do with the total unaccepatbility, as he sees it--and as most straight men would--of a gay man, especially an effeminate gay man, attacking the woman he is married to.

  15. You know, I read about this, but I have a hard time believing Baldwin is a homophobe. He always struck me as very, very leftist. But I do think be has anger management issues. I'll give him a pass on this one.

  16. Alec is guilty of doing the very same thing you and I do every-other-day. I read the comments here; we do the same.

That toxic little queen should not be on Twitter either.

  17. Sometimes you WANT to insult someone, that can be hard as traditional insults are kinda used all the time, so it's natural to try to use hurtful language. Also Alec clearly has an anger problem, deleting his twitter was a VERY smart move.

  18. Goodness knows there are indeed plenty of toxic queens in the world and I bet a gossip writer probably is one.

Certainly we see a lot of toxic queens posting comments on this site every day. This toxic/bitter strain is actually one of the things that saddens me about gay culture. The younger generation seems to be more well adjusted and with fewer chips on their shoulders. I am hopeful that the bitter/toxic character trait will not continue on.

  20. Is it even possible to delete a twitter account?

    Posted by: Will | Jun 28, 2013 12:11:53 PM

  21. First of all, the story is false, the reporter used West Coast time to accuse the wife, while the funeral was happening on the East Coast. So the tweets actually happened 3 hours after the reporter claimed.
Secondly, The "reporter" and publication is notorious for attacking liberal celebrities, in reality "toxic little queen" was probably the nicest thing anyone could think of to say about him. Alec has been in and around the gay community for decades, and let's be there anyone here who hasn't known someone who qualified for that moniker. He didn't use the f-word, he didn't disparage anything. He tends to go off the rails when his temper kicks in, but that's it.
