  2. Terry Jones is SUCH a loser ! What a one-trick pony ! Burning Korans is SO 2009 ! Can he seriously not think of anything new to grab the attention he so desperately NEEDS ?
    He is embarrassing !

  3. Voyager 1: far out!

It was very cynical of them to arrest Terry Jones and claim it was not because he's making a political statement, but because of ordinance violations. Now he'll get the ACLU on board.

  4. In case you haven't read, the Arctic Ice has more than doubled in size now and we're in for a cooling era. What's a matter, has Al Gore hit you up for some more money? Have to pay for that California beach megamansion.

  7. Andy, can't you spend some of your time promoting genuine female singers rather than fakes like Miley and Britney? Your site is increasingly devoted to fakes, Andy.

  8. "What would happen if all the Earth's ice melted?"

Why the hell did you link to a blog that talks about the National Geographic story. Why not link directly to National Geographic? That's just lazy reporting.

You might want to get your scientific information from actual scientists not Fox News. The Arctic Ice has increased by 1/3 from the same time last year when we had a record low (not more than doubled like you claim). It's still trending lower and lower each decade.

  13. Mike's source was David Rose, a well-known climate change denialist at The Daily Mail. Arctic ice ebbs and flows (melts in the summer, builds up in the winter), but has been trending downwards. The Arctic ice comparison is compared to last year, which was unusually bad. This year isn't as bad as last year but is still trending down. In addition, the ice this year is thin -- it spreads over a greater surface area, but is thinner, and that means it will melt this summer faster than ever. David Rose knows all this. He interviewed climatologists who explained to him where he was mistaken. He just refused to print what they said.

  14. Trigger warning: common sense

Oh noes! An idiot was going to burn his own legally-obtained books to make a (true) political statement.

But instead of talking about the actual problem here -- unsafely transporting fuel -- it's all about what a terrorist he is.

Let's be clear. He's no terrorist. He's a clown. You want to do something about terrorists, why don't you start with people who threaten other people with death, just for drawings.

    Here's such a drawing: ಠ_ಠ

It may, or may not be someone's prophet. If my comment is deleted, or if I'm tracked down and beheaded, you'll know which one it looks like.

  15. @Gomez: I'm not digging Ryan Kwanten's look, either. But, even if it's not for a role, it's a smart move. It's easier to get cast in non-pretty boy roles if Casting Directors can see photos of him not looking as gorgeous as he usually appears.
