RoadSix Feet Under's key players look back on that show's amazing final episode. Alan Ball: "The writers convened for season five to start working on story, knowing the show was going to end. I had always had an instinct that Nate [Peter Krause] would have to die, since his whole journey was coming to terms with his own mortality. But we didn’t want to end the final episode of the series like that. Once we figured out how to have him die three episodes from the end, suddenly it all started to fall into place. Somebody said, 'We should just kill everybody' — I wish I could remember which other writer it was who pitched this, because it wasn’t me — and everybody laughed. And then whoever it was said, 'No, I’m serious. We should jump ahead in time and see everybody at the moment of their death.' At which point I went, 'Of course.' I mean, that’s the perfect way to end this show. How else could you do it?"

  1. "Christie tops Clinton in new Quinnipiac Iowa poll"

Hillary will not be elected President. People have Clinton-fatigue as much as they have Bush-fatigue. If the Democrats are smart, they will nominate someone else.

  2. I've gotten calls from a robot with a woman's voice trying to sell me something. She eventually just hangs up after being a real chirpy Mrs. Doubtfire persona... LOL Totally not in character,, even if pissed off. She's the one if you ask if she's a computer, chuckles and asked " oh my, do I sound that bad?!?"... LOL.. I told it yes, and then oddly non really appropriate in the situation.. in the same perfect tone.. "I'm sorry I didn't understand"... it eventually just hangs at that point. (and without so much as a by your leave, at that!!) LOL

  5. I miss Six Feet Under. Truly one of the best shows of all time.

  6. Oh, and speaking of 6 feet, can you guys believe that pic of the big hulking tranny? Does she really think she is fooling anyone? Geez, except for a few of the Brazilian shemale porn stars, none of these dudes will ever pass as a woman.

  7. @ "....none of these dudes will ever pass as a woman."

don't be so pessimistic. You're only 55 now. Maybe by age 60 you'll be able to pass as a man.

(And you're not foolin' anybody by using Tyler's posting name)

  8. I hadn't realized that Rick was using my name again. I guess he's just butthurt about how I consistently call him out on his pathetic trolling. Oh well. I do miss six feet under (that was my comment), and I greatly respect Ms. Boylan's decision not to help the bigoted Salvation Army. Standing up for what you believe in and not sacrificing the safety of your rights is something a log cabin repub like Rick would never understand. He's a glutton for punishment.

  10. Six Feet Under had one of the best endings of any series. showing the deaths of all the main characters was moving, especially Clare's at the very end. In retrospect it would have made no sense to end it any other way, but it's interesting that it was just an off-the-cuff idea thrown out in a writers' meeting.

  11. I loved the way "Six Feet Under" often opened the episodes with a vignette of someone meeting their demise. It was brilliant to end the series by projecting the main characters into their future fate as well.

  12. Hillary will do fine. Women know it's their turn to rule & no one has better qualifications than Hillary Rodman Clinton.

Every possible GOP candidate is seriously flawed, beside that, they will tear each other apart in the primaries.

  13. Bradley Cooper looks awful. Andy Towle needs glasses.

  14. Note also that the sexist GQ magazine always puts men in conservative suits but women in bikinis. I think it's appalling that Andy Towle promotes this sexist rag.

  20. Let me say at the very outset, to be handicapping 2016 presidential candidates this far out is nothing more than speculation and one political junkie's guess is as good as any other. So let's play what if.

Yes, all the GOP candidates are flawed and pretty much also rans. Hilary has been out of the political limelight of late and so people are not thinking of her political future right now. Christie just won reelection, so he's that going for him right now. But, his star will begin to fade once the GOP muckraking begins.

Who else will the Democrats run in 2016? Biden? I like him, but he's run before for POTUS and he's commonly dismissed as a nice guy, but a bit bumbling and foolish. Too many gaffes in the past and probably many more to come. Bernie Sanders is thinking of running, as a Socialist or Independent. He can't win, but he could be a spoiler for the Democrats, ala Nader. The Castro boys are not ready for prime time yet. So Hillary is pretty much it as things stand right now. Depending on the national economy, if Clinton runs, she'll probably win.

  21. Iowa likes Christie? I'm not surprised: When I visited Iowa I was shocked at how much obesity I saw. So it kinda fits.

  25. Seems like the LGBTA community should start voting on the human rights of the top human rights violators on the planet since if people's human rights are going up for votes, then everyone's human rights go up for votes. There is less than a 50% chance the human race survives to the next century because governments keep violating the human rights of millions of people, who really don't have to put up with it at all given current technology.
