Pastor Robert Jeffress: Obama Is Paving The Way For The Antichrist

Robert Jeffress

Dallas megachurch pastor Robert Jeffress has written a new book about spiritually preparing for the end times and the second coming of Jesus entitled Perfect Ending: Why Your Eternal Future Matters Today, which presently has a perfect 5-star rating on Amazon due to the dozen or so laughably obvious plants who have only reviewed Perfect Ending or only books by Jeffress.

And the reason that Jeffress is convinced that the end times are coming, beyond it being the standard fetish for evangelical preachers? Obama, of course. And gay marriage. In his book he writes:

For the first time in history a president of our country has openly proposed altering one of society’s (not to mention God’s) most fundamental laws: that marriage should be between a man and a woman. While I am not suggesting that President Obama is the Antichrist, the fact that he was able to propose such a sweeping change in God’s law and still win reelection by a comfortable margin illustrates how a future world leader will be able to oppose God’s laws without any repercussions.

So because Obama has taken his own steps to allow gay couples to be legally-recognized in the U.S., the path has been cleared for an easy takeover by the antichrist. That's not the least bit insane.

  1. while we can't make religion illegal, we can mock it and point out its mind-numbing ridiculousness at every chance we get.

  2. That photo depicts the Pastor's reaction when he thinks about all the money that will roll in from the fools he succeeds in conning with his 14th century proclamations.

  3. If they were not that dangerous this would be funny.
In Europe someone like him would be mocked relentlessly

  4. Sounds hot.

I want to be anally violated by the Anti-Christ - he is so much hotter than that streak of urine Jesus.

  5. Why are so many Americans so wilfully stupid as to believe in 'god'. Surely it's blatantly obvious to anyone with even the most basic of education that 'god' does not exist, and that the BuyBull is a badly written, piece of fiction designed to give meaning to the lives of desert dwelling illiterate peasants thousands of years ago.

  6. For such a bible thumper, you'd think he'd realize there's zero connection between marriage equality and the antichrist anywhere in the bible.

Like the bible says "Yea, verily I say to you, in the latter days when men started marrying men and women married women, Satan just walked right in and took over and we all went to hell in a handbasket."

    He's a freakin' loon.

  8. I had no idea that the President had those powers - if so, he needs to quit being so lazy about using them.

  9. We are so blessed - blessed, I tell you - here in Texas with God-fearing, book-promoting, give-me-money grubbing "pastors" like Jeffress. In this state, it seems they're a dime-a-dozen, no, wait, they're more like a dollar-a-dozen. It's no wonder so many Texans believe in end times and creationism with megachurch blowhards like this one molding their pitiful minds to support his unsubstantiated BS. But, as long as he gets their tithing, why would he care? This is hucksterism at its Texas finest!

  11. Wait...I thought Obama *was* the AntiChrist. I'm so confused...

  12. So they should be super excited that the anti-Christ is coming because that means they are one step closer to meeting magic Jesus.

  13. Intersting, because I am pretty darn sure that Christ would consider Jeffress considering his very un-Christ like ways as the anti-Christ......................

  14. "For the first time in history a president of our country has openly proposed altering one of society’s (not to mention God’s) most fundamental laws,"

Really, because I thought that the enslavement of the black race was part of society's, and God's, plan as well, and Lincoln certainly altered that. And when this country was founded, the Founding Fathers, which included the 5 first Presidents, altered society's, and God's, fundamental law that there was only One True Church, and enshrined heresy and blasphemy as fundamental rights in this country. I think that's what is known as a "precedent."

  17. Are these people insane?

    Posted by: Matt27 | Jan 10, 2014 9:59:31 AM

  18. @ MATT27 :
    Yes.

On the general topic, we will never accept god's/Sharia/ Mormon fantasy law as a force in our democracy.....never.

  19. Yes they are insane. They don't quite get Christ was a change agent. He associated with the marginalized and avoided people like this guy and politicians. If he came back (or she) these people should consider hiding. Christ never ever mentions homosexuality. Never condemned it. Never said marriage was between a man and a woman. The ignorant follow these false prophets and believe every word. Maybe they need to actually read the bible. No, maybe not as we would have slavery return and legalized child abuse and multiple marriages (which by the way was very common and accepted in ancient times). Give me strength.

  21. I personally know people who actually believe this. People are so ignorant it can be frightening, sometimes.

  22. Just can't understand the mind that this nonsense appeals to.
Gotta be brain chemistry. An endorphin type reaction.

  23. Actually, SSM was instituted in the US before Obama was president and he was not a vocal supporter of it until very recently. Also, he hasn't personally done much of anything to open the floodgates to gay marriage here in the US. It was the hard work of others that have pried open a very reluctant door. Finally, there's no correlation between what happens in the US and what happens in the rest of the world. The US does not biblically define the fate of the entire world. While the screws were loosening on gay marriage here, in Africa they are passing laws penalizing gay sex, so it looks like a wash to me.

  24. Well, at least PBO is not the Anti-Christ or Satan himself, so that's progress, I suppose.

  25. This is ezactly the type of "false prophet" his bible speaks of.
