  1. How is claiming Jeff Gordon is gay, satirical?

  2. You have to shake your head at Goopy Paltrow announcing her divorce with a "we're closer now than we've ever been". Well, maybe that's why your marriage didn't work, hun. You just can't be a regular person "we're splitting and I'm sad" can you.

  3. Now that Bob Shrum has a gig from Andrew Sullivan we'll never hear the end of it. Obama's last election success was not due to Nancy Pelosi. They capitalized on Romney's very high negatives and a very good ground game.

  6. First they came...for the music stores, and no one spoke out because they had their earbuds in.

Then they came for the video stores, and no one spoke out because they were watching their 4-inch (diagonal) Retina display, 1136-by-640 resolution,326 ppi iPhones.

Then they came for the bookstores, but I was home downloading the Encyclopedia Britannica to my hard drive. A bunch of pretentious Luddites squawked like emmer-effers about the loss of civilization, but I was too busy READING about the loss of civilization in a blog to care.

    Evolve or die.

  7. I really miss bookstores- there was a sense of exploring of reading something that caught your eye- blogs and the internet are fine but they are simply not the same experience - its like saying that watching "2001" on your phone is the same as watching in Cinerama. Technology does not make us smarter just more comfortably narrow minded and stupid- Ray Bradbury who loved book store predicted all this in "Farenheit 451" and please read the REAL book.

  8. Andy, Mozilla's new CEO Brendan Eich just issued a statement. Please make a post on it, so we can all discuss it.

  9. Brendan Eich has not been letting anyone post on his personal website. I have a feeling that this is really getting to the Mozilla people.

  11. When will Madonna learn she has ZERO talent as a film director and stop embarrassing herself?

    Posted by: Zlick | Mar 26, 2014 8:13:25 PM

  12. @Zlick: probably around the time she realizes that she's also not suited to being an actress, wife, gym magnate, skin care purveyor, etc. She makes enough money and has enough yes men surrounding her that she has no reason to stop embarrassing herself.

I wonder if she'll learn that people know her rediscovery of lace gloves aren't a cute throwback/nod to the 80s, and that she's started wearing them again because her hands looked so gnarled in lots of recent photos.

  13. I am astonished by the amount of Paltrow hate there is out there. They seem like nice people who have had problems. I just do not understand the amount of vitreol out there aimed at her.
She and Chris are at this very moment in the Caribbean right now with their kids on a family vacation. THey are doing divorce the right way, the sane way and should be applauded for that.
Seriously those who hate her so much need to take a good long look in the mirror. That website you linked to was cra cra with the hate.

  14. Pelosi is the true champion from the left in Washington, not Obama. When the Prez wanted to cut Social Security benefits and Medicare, it was Pelosi who said it was a non starter.
