Milk_colbert

Stephen Colbert is extremely angry about the new Harvey Milk postage stamp being issued in May.

"The gays are hellbent on rubbing our noses in their lifestyle...and suddenly, if I want to mail something I have to lick this guy's backside? No! No!"

Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...

BTW, you can preorder the stamps now.

  2. Sure, you can pre-order if you want to create yet another user name and password, plus pay shipping charges. When you buy them at the post office, you have to do none of the above!

And are some folks getting a coupon for a discount?

  3. Ordering postage online is great. Lots of choices and ~$1.25 in shipping regardless of how much you order.

  4. Some people just want to complain. Nothing new.

  5. You are now using a video service that cannot be viewed outside the usa.
Most of the world lives outside the usa. Do you want to exclude the 6 billion of us? Or is this an oversight, and you need to switch video servers/settings?

  6. @Phillipp'

That isn't Towleroad's decision -- it's Comedy Central's. And, they aren't going to allow viewing outside of the US because they have sold legal/distribution rights to their shows in other territories.

I take it this is the first time you've been on the Internet?

  7. @unruly : someone living outside the U.S. is going to have to look at page-info data (or whatever one's browser calls it) to find out where an image or video came from, and they might not even have heard of "Comedy Central" previously.

Most people aren't going to do that level of checking, and people living outside the U.S. may not be cognizant of the level of greed typified by U.S. "media" companies.
