Coldwell Banker Fires FOX News Contributor Who Blamed Santa Barbara Shooter’s ‘Gay Impulses’

FOX News contributor Dr. Robi Ludwig, who made the claim over the weekend that Santa Barbara shooter Eliot Rodger went on his rampage because he couldn't deal with his "homosexual impulses" and then said she was "misunderstood", has  been fired from her job as a spokesperson for Coldwell Banker Real Estate, according to a note left by the company on Facebook after an inquiry from activist Scott Wooledge.

Wrote Coldwell: "Dr. Robi’s comments on the tragedy in Santa Barbara do not represent the opinions of Coldwell Banker. Therefore at this time we feel it best to part ways with her as our lifestyle real estate correspondent."

the problem is a lack of social responsibility across the board – that’s what contributes to these shootings – and it is evident in the aftermath

  2. Moz's says

why does a real estate company even need a supposed doctor as a spokesperson anyway?

  3. impressive says

She’s also a lifestyle real estate correspondent? On top of being a Fox-commentator psychologist with a doctorate from a correspondence school?

What an incredibly idiotic non-job that was undoubtedly paying this crazy moron a fortune.

It’s time for the crazies to realize that the LGBT community is as off-limits to public expressions of bigotry as any other minority population is.

Think whatever you want, no problem. Say whatever you want, there’s going to be a problem. And that problem is going to be yours.

It was just a truly galling, yet unexpectedly Fox-ian, moment in Derp.

Man goes on killing spree. Man leaves behind his writings and ramblings, laced with racism, misogyny, delusional entitlements and an utterly-aggressive heterosexist outlook on life. Family states they’ve been worried for years about his mental instability. Family warns police. Police don’t do their proper jobs. Dude could have been stopped.

And this woman posits ….”maybe he was gay?”

anything to avoid talking about gun control, on fox.

Coldwell Banker agents have to pay a 6% franchise fee off the top of their commission checks. Lord only knows what else they spend it all on. I’m glad I’m not there, seeing my money wasted on white trash like this piece of work.

Fox News HR Dept. is already processing her application for a consulting psychology expert position.

  8. Rad says

Why does that photo of her remind me of one of those harlequin mannequins in the window of Shop Therapy in Provincetown?

  9. jjose712 says

What she did was very irresponsible and no profesional at all.
    She got what she deserves.

And i don’t think she will get a job on Fox, she apologizes and Fox morons never apologize

  10. spike says

She’ll go on Fox again and complain how she was bullied and how gay people are the ones that are not tolerant. She’ll then get a paid gig on Fox and make even more outrageous claims.

  11. OhNoSheBetterDont says

This is not enough. Every anti-gay pundit who gets in front of a microphone to defame gays should be litigated against. Class action defamation lawsuits against these talking heads might make a difference.

Make them justify their defamation in court. They won’t be able to.

Maybe this is one way for LGBT communities to increase their budgets. Litigate the hell out of anti-gays, and get money from them. Anti-gays have plenty of money, and they defame gays all the time. They’re a BLOODY GOLDMINE!

  12. anon says

I’m missing something. Was she blaming the “gay” part of his personality, or the “straight acting” part? Was he a Dan White, paranoid self-hater with a gun and a grudge? There’s no evidence of that.

I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and treat you as if you are not trolling.

This woman, on national television, using her authority as a psychotherapist, suggested that same-sex attraction is indicative of spree-killing.

These poor homophobes cannot catch a break these days for their hateful anti-gay views. How does that fill bigot?

  15. bobbyjoe says

When Bill Maher and the “gay mafia” whiners start trying to blame her firing on the gays, could we please force them to note exactly what gay organization or major LGBT person called for this woman’s dismissal? Because I can’t think of any. I don’t even remember anybody mentioning Coldwell Banker. It sounds like Coldwell Banker decided to ditch her all on their own.

Oh, no… not another martyr for the Christians. Aren’t they still trying to get some mileage out of the Venom Brothers?

  17. Paul B. says

“the agenda”, “the activists”, “the gay mafia”.
Well, I must travel in “the other” circle of gay people who don’t cause these wingnuts to get fired because I don’t know the agenda, the activists or the gay mafia. What have I been missing…where are these entities. I’m Italian, does that make me “gay mafia”? I think this dumb bit$ch just got cut down by her own arrogance & ignorance. There’s an epidemic going around on fox.

I have to admit, when I saw the video my Gaydar went off. Let the shrinks battle it out.

Fire everyone who disagrees with same sex marriage! Stamp out dissent in America. Don’t allow a psychologist to express a view that associates homosexuality with a crime. After, all no psychologist has ever drawn a correlation between heterosexual urges by a man and violence against women, have they? Oh wait, they have. Nevermind.
