  1. Sadly for DC, Zack Snyder is a witless, shallow director.

  2. Hubba, hubba. I love superheroes in chiseled musclesuits. Haha.

I never got the whole Batman vs. Superman thing. Batman is a mere mortal, yes a hunky trained fighter with fancy gizmos, but Superman is like a god. He could snap Batman's neck in a split second. Can't wait for the movie though. It is a gay superhero fan's wet dream!

  3. Oh and I liked Zach Snyder's direction for Watchmen, which itself I think is an entertaining, fun, and thought-provoking movie. Snyder's direction was very stylized and vivid.

  4. Why is Batman on steroids?

  5. Batman has beaten Superman everytime they fought!

  6. Why does the bat suit have veins???? That's idiotic. Might as well have Shumacher nipples.

  7. Really liked "Man of Steel" so I'm a little disappointed that Batman (aka the spotlight hog) is coming back AGAIN and butting into Supe's business.

  8. That could be in anyone in that suit.
I am still firmly opposed to the Batffleck.

  9. He looks like a turtle!

  10. Dude looks ripped.

  11. Ben is about 10 years too old for the part.

  12. In closer picture the cleft chin goes with the costume. If you ever actually ever saw Ben, you would get it.

  13. Yawnnn....

  14. Maybe the "veins" are actually cracks or stress fractures to the suit as battle damage? And Ben Affleck is supposed to represent an older Batman, not in his youthful prime.

  15. Before people start critiquing the movie, they should wiki the source material. When they announced this movie, they read an excerpt of dialogue from the graphic novel THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, in which a 55 YEAR OLD Batman fights Superman…and wins…by using the Kryptonite ring he has kept as a contingency plan. Clearly things will change a bit for this movie, but:

    • 41-year-old Affleck can certainly play a weathered veteran Bats.

    • Batman has fought Superman many times, and won. Batman fights EVERYONE, and wins, because a) he's the smartest guy at DC, and b) he fights dirty.

    • We can't see the pic well enough to tell if the suit has veins or (more likely) seams like the New-52 design by artist Jim Lee.

    • You've NEVER been able to tell what actor is inside the suit, so that's a silly argument.

    • Batman is clearly DC's IRON MAN (getting multiple solo films), MAN OF STEEL was their THOR, and SUPES/BATS is their CAPTAIN AMERICA. JUSTICE LEAGUE will be their AVENGERS. They are actually following the same basic plan as Marvel, NOT "rushing it" as people keep saying. I'm sure Supes will get another solo story once SUPERMAN/BATMAN and JUSTICE LEAGUE are out of the way.

    • All that REALLY matters is if Wonder Woman looks good! Can't wait for that reveal.

  16. Nicely played, Christopher.

  17. How much is Affleck and how much is in the rubber suit?

  18. Contemporary American cinema: an endless stream of movies made from comic books and cartoons. Compared to this trivial stuff Mel Brooks' movies are starting to look like art films.

  19. 300 was to these mindless gheys what The Triumph of the Will was the Nazijugends (uniform fetish, anyone?): Homoerotic fascist/racist flicks.
One b#tch behind the camera was a Nazi and the other one a Jew.
    How the humanity evolves! FABULOUS!

  20. "TO" the Nazijugends.

    And Sergio,

Yes, SHALLOW is the right word. Reminds me of Hanna Arendt's words, the BANALity of the evil.
