As previously reported, Star Wars: Episode VII has begun shooting, causing simultaneous joy and consternation among devottees of the Sci-Fi franchise. 1. I beg to differ. Star TREK fans are the most devoted, as anyone who has watched the Hidden Frontier and Phase II/New Voyages fan series (among many others) knows.

Based on this sampling, Trek fans are also quite gay-inclusive.

  2. AGREED Randy. As soon as I saw 'The Phantom Menace' I chucked Star Wars like an old sock. As for Star Trek, despite some less than stellar series over the years I love it as much today as I did when I was a kid.

  3. Yeah...... I agree with @RANDY. Star wars is for basic bitches. Sorry. Star Trek at least labels stuff as "furure technology" and doesn't rely on magic "force". And I don't see dedicated star wars conventions and venues. Star Trek wins. Go home hipster star war fan

  5. The Death Star hanging in the sky was a great touch! Also the Imperial Destroyer looming parked in the background too. Good job.

And while I know several fanatical Star Wars fans-- who seem more devoted to SW than ST-- they love Star Trek too. I am more of a ST fan myself, but there's just more material there so it's easier to love...
