    I really like these segments–they’re witty and informative. This one, especially, reminded my of my college bf, who loved roller coasters more than anything in the world; I wonder how many of these parks and rides he’s visited over the past 25 years.

    @I WONT GROW UP: No one put a gun to your head to make you watch. If you started to watch and it bothered you as much as it seems it did you can just put your cursor on the top of your web browser and close it. The world does not revolve around you. You aren’t nearly as important as you think you are.

    The town of Mauch Chunk is pronounced correctly in this video (don’t know why Jack thought it needed correcting). It’s the local Indian word for nearby Bear Mountain. The name of the town was changed in the 1950s to Jim Thorpe, PA (in case you’re looking for it on the map). Quaint, historic architecture, county seat, and inundated with leaf-peepers in the fall who take steam train excursions through the mountains.
