Straight 'Big Brother' Housemate Cody Throws Wrench Into 'Zrankie' Showmance, Cuddles With Frankie: VIDEO

Frankie&Cody

"Zrankie," the Frankie-Zach "Big Brother" showmance to end all showmances has, well, ended. For the time being at least, Frankie has moved on to another cuddle-buddy, the presumably hetero Cody Calafiore. Though Frankie, Zach, and Cody have previously laid in bed together, "Zrankie" only recently professed their love, leading one to wonder if Cody could have been a little bit jealous.

Of course it is impossible to tell just how real anyone's emotions are at the present; a cuddle could mean very little. Still, it is exciting to see the bonds develop, and for Frankie's relationship with his heterosexual housemates to extend beyond vague intimations of gay panic or, as in other seasons, outright homophobia.

Check out the cozy and cuddly footage, AFTER THE JUMP...

  1. Sorry but this is all for ratings and viewership. Nothing more.

  2. Frankie is an embarrassment humping straight guys...talk about living up to a stereotype.

  3. It's a fun show and on the plus side there are no kardashians.

  4. Please stop. Seriously. Stop posting about this garbage.

  5. Can you cool it with all the "is he gay" speculation? Straight guys like to cuddle with each other, there is nothing sexual about it. Gay guys cuddle and are affectionate with women all the time but no one is ever suggesting the gay guy is actually straight. You're ruining a moment of inclusion with your gay baiting.

  6. Is she a transsexual or just a regular gay imitating a woman? Should she be banned from using the male restroom when other males are present?

  7. I second the reactions of David and Jake. Where I live, you are constantly wary of Straight guys wanting to kick your ass for even "looking" Gay. This bromance crap is something I cannot relate to, and I daresay I speak for a lot of Gay men in that respect.

  8. Frankie has cuddled with Cody before, alone as well as in various group configurations. This is not "throwing a wrench" into anything. The Frankie-Zach bond is still there, and they're still outrageously gay-innuendoed, offering each other intercourse, and forever touching, touching, touching the other's skin. Underneath the Frankie-Zach joking and messing around is a real love, though maybe never to be consummated.

Zach is one of the first guys I've seen that may be straight -- yet is completely comfortable bonding & sometimes cuddling with a gay dude (we do this with women!). That's just his personality.

  9. cody flirts indiscriminately with men and women. he knows he's cute, uses it to his advantage every opportunity, and loves the attention - this is nothing new.

  10. That'd be great if Big Brother would grow a pair of balls and cast a gay guy that wasn't the most flamboyant gay guy possible.

  11. Or could it be Frankie isn't an idiot and knows how reality TV works? Today you cuddle someone and hint at a romance, tomorrow you've got your own show on E!

  12. I don't get all the anger in the comments. Just because you can't relate to something doesn't mean it shouldn't be spoken about.

These guys are in a generation that doesn't freak out as much about gay stuff.

It doesn't look like Frankie is in love and will eventually be hurt. They're just comfortable. I think it's adorable.

Yep, it's amazing what people will do for money.

  16. This could actually be hot if Frankie bore some passing resemblance to a man. As it is, he is a bizarre cartoon character with hair dyed pink and mannerisms befitting a 12-year old girl. Pathetic.

  17. DAMON - you got it.

  18. It may well be that Frankie is a physically affectionate soul, but the flip side is this needy, affection-starved person who has fame-whore side of him to win over his (male) fellow contestants. And the producers all loving any/all the press its getting. Frankie, please go away!

  19. Frankie reminds me of all the things my own father hated about gay men. For those that don't know, my father hated effeminacy and hated gay men and did not love me at all. In fact, he never once showed me affection or love. And it's because of gay men with pink hair like Frankie.

    Posted by: UFFDA | Aug 5, 2014 3:13:12 PM

  20. Boy, these are some ugly comments. If you don't like the show, don't watch it. If Frankie doesn't measure up to your barometer of how straight-acting or gay-acting someone should be, it probably says more about your own insecurities. Coming on the heels of last season's unchecked racism and homophobia, this is a pretty refreshing season. This is a TV series that runs three times a week and garners millions of viewers--millions of viewers who see straight men who don't recoil in horror or with violence when in close physical proximity to an out, smart and flamboyant gay man.

  21. Kevin, kindly shut up. Frankie has pink hair and is the embodiment of all the things my anti-gay family hated about gay people. Therefore, it doesn't matter that these straight guys like him. I need to ignore that fact, so i continue to blame Frankie for the fact that my family hated having me for their son.

  22. The hatred gays show toward effeminate gay men is a million times more disgusting than homophobia from straight men as far as I am concerned.

    Posted by: KM | Aug 5, 2014 3:21:27 PM

  23. behind every "effeminacy hating" gay man is the family that hated having him for a son.

  24. UFFDA--so your dad hated you for being too effeminate so you choose to blame flamboyant men for being themselves rather than blaming your father for his prejudices. By that reasoning, if someone hated Jews, African-Americans or specific religions, its up to them to hide or attempt to blend in so they don't upset someone else's misguided belief of what is acceptable.

  25. Excellent article. Thanks for the link LITTLE KIIW.
