Adam Lambert Recreates His 'American Idol' Audition, Announces New Album: VIDEO

Adam Lambert's American Idol story has come full circle: from nervous audition-er to "superstar" judge. While shooting a round of auditions with Harry Connick Jr. and Jennifer Lopez for the upcoming season of the popular singing contest, Connick asked Lambert if he would be willing to recreate his original audition for the show from season 8. The current Queen frontman originally auditioned with the Queen uber classic, "Bohemian Rhapsody." Foreshadowing of things to come. Lambert took Connick's challenge and delivered a pitch perfect performance even better than his original.

Lambert has also just announced a new album that marks the beginning of a partnership with Warner Bros. music. Said Warner Bros. CEO Cameron Strang of his decision to sign Lambert after Lambert left RCA

"The potential is worldwide superstar. He has fans all over the world. He's he's got one of the great voices and he's coming into his own as a person and as a man. He more comfortable with himself and his artistic vision of himself and I think there's a confidence and a freedom that comes with having made more than one record."

Lambert's new album will see him re-team with Swedish pop god Max Martin ("Baby One More Time") and Shellback, who together gave Lambert the hits "Whataya Want From Me" and "If I Had You" off his debut album "For Your Entertainment."

Lambert told Billboard that this new album feels like a departure for him: "The album feels like a new era for me -- emotionally, lyrically, sonically. It feels fresh, it feels new. It's still me. It's still stuff that fans know and love but it's a new chapter 100 percent."

The first single is due out in April.

American Idol Contestant Josh Davalia Transitions To Jaidah Christina

American Idol season 12 contestant Josh "JDA" Davalia was out and proud during his run on the show and made it to the Las Vegas semi-finals. Josh has been successful in more ways than one since the end of his time on the show. First, he landed a dream job singing at Chicago’s biggest Trans-friendly nightclub. And second, Josh has successfully transitioned to Jaidah Christina.

In an interview with, she talks about the transition process, her life on and after American Idol, and what it was like to come out to her family. Ironically enough, the one person in her family who appeared to have a problem with her transition was her gay uncle. However, she's receiving support from the rest of her family and has found a man whom she was able to come out to about being trans, and a year later they're still together.

The interview is beautiful and worth taking the time to read.

Gay 'American Idol' Contestant MK Nobilette Gets 'Satisfaction' From Her Performance: VIDEO

MknobiletteMK Nobilette, the first openly gay contestant to compete on "American Idol," wowed the judges and the audience last night with her rendition of Allen Stone's "Satisfaction." She, along with the other contestants, will have to wait until tonight to find out who goes home, but based on this reaction Nobilette will hopefully be sticking around for a while.

Idolator reports:

MK Nobilette is looking absolutely adorable with minimal makeup and a turned-back baseball cap. She switches from her usual ballads to give a rousing version of “Satisfaction” by Allen Stone. In her pale pink suit and black sneaks, she really looks the part of a quirky, unique pop star. She’s soulful throughout the performance, really owning the stage. Harry calls her beautiful and he’s enjoyed watching her “grow.” He seriously can’t stop gushing and I actually don’t blame him. Keith tells her that even when she’s nervous, “Your voice never fails you.” Jennifer calls the song selection “smart” and has nothing but good things to say.
