Michele Bachmann Clarifies Gay Marriage 'Is Boring, Not an Issue' Comment, Reminds People She's Still A Bigot - VIDEO

Republican and anti-gay activist Michele Bachmann has clarified comments made at last week’s right-wing Values Voter Summit conference that same-sex marriage is “not an issue” and is “in fact...boring,” reports WND.

Activist Michelangelo Signorile reported that Bachmann made the comments in an interview he conducted with her on Sirius XM Progress.

However, in a follow-up interview, Bachmann backtracked, claiming she meant that same-sex marriage “won’t be the issue that drives the 2014 election”:

“I told the reporter it’s getting boring having them only press this issue with Republicans while ignoring Democrats. The media loves to divide us on this issue. They look for something all the time. I said nothing different. I’m the woman who carried the traditional marriage amendment in Minnesota, and I stand firm in my belief that marriage should be between one man and one woman.”

The American Family Association’s resident wingnut Bryan Fischer - loves Burger King, hates gay sex - said that the issue of marriage equality is “far from settled”:

“Unfortunately, there are people in the conservative movement who have sort of given up. There are even evangelical leaders sending signals that the battle is over, that the battle is lost. ‘We’ll never be able to capture the millennials. They’re gone.’ I think it’s way premature for that. You know, when the homosexual lobby was [lost at the ballot in 31 states on marriage, they] didn’t quit. They didn’t give up. They didn’t do it. They didn’t give up, and neither are we.”

Always to be relied on for inflammatory hate speech that shows an absolute lack of any human compassion, in July, Bachmann claimed that gay people want to "abolish age of consent laws...so that adults will be able to freely prey on little children sexually."

E.W. Jackson: 'God Ordained' That 1,000 Years From Now Same-Sex Marriage Will Not Exist - VIDEO

E.W. Jackson

True to form, failed 2013 Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia E.W. Jackson - he has previously claimed to be even better friends with god than the Pope - this time spoke for god himself, lashing out against same-sex marriage at the closing of the Values Voter Summit last Friday, reports Right Wing Watch.

The annual Values Voter Summit, organized by anti-gay bigots Family Research Council and backed by the Republican Party, featured a who’s who of homophobic wingnuts including Michelle Bachmann, Jason & David Benham, Michelle Duggar, Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, Rick Santorum and Mat Staver.

Closing out Friday night’s session, Jackson attacked supporters of equality and was somewhat confused with his interpretation of "the truth":

“How dare you try to redefine an institution that God himself ordained! The fact of the matter is they can call a union other than one man and one woman by any name they choose but the reality is you can re-write a thousand dictionaries, you can put on a thousand TV shows, you can make a thousand headlines, you can have a thousand coming out parties, you can have a thousand politicians affirm the lie, but the truth will still stand and a thousand years from now, marriage will still be a union between one man and one woman because God ordained it so!"

Michele Bachmann: Gays Want To Let Adults 'Prey On Little Children Sexually' - AUDIO

Crazy

Bastion of rational thought, Rep. Michele Bachmann, recently took to conservative radio show "Faith & Liberty" (someone really needs to create a ridiculous Republican talk-show name generator app) to once again demonize LGBT people. As Right Wing Watch reports, this time Bachmann accused "'the gay community' of pushing “deviancy,” “tyranny” and child rape." According to Bachmann,

“[T]he gay community will 'abolish age of consent laws, which means we will do away with statutory rape laws so that adults will be able to freely prey on little children sexually. That’s the deviance that we’re seeing embraced in our culture today.'”

"She also predicted that gay rights advocates will legalize polygamy and enact 'hate speech laws across the United States' in order to bring about 'the rise of tyranny.'”

Never a stranger to contrarian opinions, Bachmann called the Supreme Court's decision in United States v. Windsor, the now famous ruling that last year gutted key elements of the Defense Against Marriage Act (DOMA), a “denial of equal protection for all Americans.”

Elaborating on her views of marriage equality in a broader sense, Bachmann said,

“This is a revolution that we are encountering now...For all of the thousands of years of recorded human history, about 5,000 years, there is no instance of any culture, nation or tribe ever having as the established standard for marriage anything other than between man and woman. It may have been multiple women and a man, it may have been something like that, but it was always between men and women.”

She decried marriage equality as a “radical experiment” that will have “profound consequences:” “I think that nature tells us, our biology tells us that marriage is between man and a woman, when we tamper with something that was generated by the Creator of the Universe, I think there are profound consequences that we haven’t yet realized.”

FOX News Host Blasts Michele Bachmann for Lawsuit Against Obama: VIDEO

Cavuto_bachmann

Neil Cavuto interviewed Michele Bachmann on Wednesday over a "waste of time" lawsuit planned by John Boehner and House Republicans against President Obama for using executive power on issues that they have blocked in Congress.

Said Cavuto, who grew more and more outraged at Bachmann as the discussion went on: "Where was your rage when Democrats were going after President Bush on the same use of executive orders, because I think you knew then that that was a waste of time then and I think you know in your heart of hearts this is a waste of time now."

"You're being silly," Cavuto asserted.

Michele Bachmann Condemns Women's History Museum Because Of Gay Marriage: VIDEO

Michele Bachmann

Continuing her modus operandi of conservative craziness, Michele Bachmann took to the House floor to speak against the National Women's History Museum to be built on the National Mall.

Said Bachmann:

I believe ultimately that this museum, which will be built on the National Mall, on federal land, will enshrine the radical feminist movement that stands against the pro-life movement, the pro-family movement, and the pro-traditional marriage movement.

After her "cursory review" of the museum's online exhibits, Bachmann is convinced that the museum is not only redundant given that there are already 20 National Women's History Museums across the nation, but will also become an ideological shrine to abortion.

Bachmann was in the under 10% that voted against the creation of the museum and the House overwhelmingly passed the Commission to Study the Potential Creation of a National Women's History Museum Act of 2013 (H.R. 863) by a vote of 383-33.

Michele Bachmann is Tired of the Gay Community 'Bullying' the American People: LISTEN

M_bachmann

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) gave an interview to talk show host Lars Larson at CPAC and expressed her anger about the failure of Arizona's anti-gay 'religious freedom' bill, saying that the gay community has been getting their way by intimidating politicians, Right Wing Watch reports.

Said Bachmann:

“There’s nothing about gays in there, but the gay community decided to make this their measure. And the thing that I think is getting a little tiresome is the gay community have so bullied the American people and they have so intimidated politicians that politicians fear them and they think they get to dictate the agenda everywhere. Well, not with the Constitution you don’t."

She added:

"If you want take away my religious liberties, you can advocate for that but you do it through the constitutional process and you don’t intimidate and no politician should give away my religious liberties or yours."
