The Cannes Film Festival line-up will be announced in less than a fortnight but the selection of Ang Lee’s Brokeback Mountain starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger is “looking wobbly” according to Variety, which reported today that although the festival looks to be chock-full of American films, the selection committee was “underwhelmed” by the gay cowboy drama.
