Really rich people have their garage sales at Sotheby’s, and that’s just where fine and decorative arts items from the late Gianni Versace’s collection, once housed in his Manhattan townhouse, went on auction Saturday. Frank Moore‘s “Cow” fetched the highest price —$284,000— an auction record for the artist.
The auction also included a metal bed by Julian Schnabel, a big fat piece of Versace bling, and lots and lots of really ornate tchotchkes.
