A man found guilty of slashing a torturing a gay man in London in 2003 has won permission to challenge his conviction. Arguing that the DNA evidence was not left at the scene at the time of the murder but during a previous visit, the killer’s lawyers have won an appeal. The killer Michael Danells, had been sentenced to serve a minimum of 25 years behind bars.
