Germany's commissioner for LGBTIQ+ rights has called Pope Francis's decision to open the door to allowing the blessing of same-sex unions by Catholic priests “a signal long overdue.” “This means that all those in Germany who want to bless same-sex couples will also receive support,” Sven Lehmann told dpa on Monday.
