Just Married
A reader sends in this photo of Star Jones and banker Al Reynolds, married over the weekend in a star-studded ceremony attended by guests like Hillary Clinton, Spike Lee, and The View co-host Barbara Walters.
Rumors questioning Reynolds' sexuality have circulated on the internet for months, with The NY Post reporting his attendance at a gay Halloween bash dressed as a stripper in a white Speedo and bathrobe. Other reports have him at a Fire Island party in another Speedo, but this time dressed as Bam Bam from the Flintstones. In his juicy Filth column, Billy Masters reported on the Halloween party: "When my spy asked what his costume was, someone in the crowd yelled, 'He's pretending to be a straight guy marrying Star Jones.' Reynolds corrected him by stating, 'I'm a male stripper.'"
Whether or not Reynolds' Halloween costume choices and context in which he chooses to wear them are indicative that he's a gay man marrying a woman is anyone's Gest.
So does this photo show "a man frozen in fear" as our reader noted to us, or does it depict a couple intent on preserving the sanctity of the important institution whose protections are afforded to heterosexuals whose love for one another merits the label of marriage?
The wedding apparently went off without a hitch. Reports co-host Walters,
"I smiled a lot."

AL is EXACTLY the same weight as all the cellulite Star has had removed recently. Given Star's statement "If I can't find the man I want, I'd surely like medical science to make one" and her access to the makeup whizzes at ABC we have to wonder if he is not a Frankenstein "IT LIVES!!" . Did he just "appear" at the right time? is this simply a coincidence?? I think not.

I just hope they will be happy...with all the recent media attention with them since the engagement, it appears Star is so determined to stress how happy Al makes her...I just hope it is not a front because when all the smoke clears and no one is paying them any attention, they will have to deal with the aftermath....no one else...I pray it is real...but Al looks like VP of the "Gay American" club with President of the club McGreevy.

I think Star Jones has such a beautiful face! But wow, she is an ugly person. She turned her wedding into a public circus. It wasn't a ceremony about two people professing their love for one another. As a woman who has become overweight myself, I don't think we should make this about Star's weight. All that I keep asking myself is what type of woman wants to marry a man who is so heavily rumored to be Gay. That part is the sad disheartening part to me. Also, if I were to stereotype, this man, Al Reynolds, looks extremely Gay.
Overall, I think to myself that life is short. Very short. We all want companionship and want to live out our fantasies. You are no different and nor am I. It is just that Star has chosen to live out her fantasies in public, thus giving us the chance to criticize. As long as they are not harming and hurting others deliberated, be he Gay, her fat and self absorbed or whatever else we think of them, the important thing is to live "your" dream. Truth is, for no other reason, I admire Star for being insane enough to live out her fantasy. What else is life for if not but to pursue our destiny. Best wishes to them as individuals and as a couple -no matter what type of couple they are or may become. Live your dream.

Star is an egotistical, self-centered moran. She married Al out of deperation to get married to a "man" and he married her for convenience since he is in such a high powered profession. She is certainly living a fantasy in this marriage since neither of them did so for love. She knows he is gay; that is obvious. Yet, she so desperately wants to parade herself as the Queen.This woman needs to skin an elephant and hide inside. The joke will be on her because her down low husband will be with his male partners soon after the honeymoon. I am certain that out of mutual respect, he will hide his business. But his business won't be quiet for too long. I give this charade less than a year because it makes a mockery of the santity of marriage. Remember, I made the prediction first. And in the end, Starlet will get just what she deserves from everyone. Let me offer the first laugh.

I truely wish Star Jones Reynolds and her Husband Many years of Blessings in their marriege., I think her wedding was beautiful and I think she is a strong and self assured person and people seem to want her to be some weak lady thats down on herself. I'm coming to this debate late.
Star Jones has orchestrated her on-screen life adnauseam. I limit my TV, and never buy tabloids (People etc)or put too much stock in "movie stars" but when I do run across an item it makes me wonder why so many care about these people? This phenomenon of watching people's lives or troubles is disgusting and just proves how many people really don't have a life of their own. Realty TV was fun and different for about 20 minutes.
Pathetic, desperate people will do anything when they have a medium and sorry to say an audience.
As for this women...Too much money and no class. Expensive clothes, shoes, handbags, WEDDINGS (awful by the way, too over the top to be considered chic or exclusive) etc. does not make one classy. Personal style and understated makes someone appealing. It's the hanger, not the clothes.
You can't, I repeat, can't buy class or position in society. The real monied people stay away from the likes of these people.
Too bad her good is overshadowed by this sad circus she calls her life.

I think Al is handsome. He is foiine! ANd if he's gay, well, he still looks good. I stopped looking at The View because I was gagging on all the talk she was doing about him. I think all the gushing was a little sophomoric for a woman well over 35. You'd have thought she'd never been in a relationship before whatsoever. Frankly, I don't think one year of dating is enough to get the necessary information on someone in their 30's or older (maybe if you're a teenager and there's not so much history, you know---maybe). I sincerely hope they'll be madly happy, and if it turned out he were gay, I believe it would be a train wreck for her. The wedding tells me that it was more about plugging a man into a good plan, than simply having a good man. I hope he is a good man. Every woman deserves a good, solid, loving man. Have you noticed how Star crimps her left hand so that the rings are always in view? Looks like it would hurt. I watch her daily just to see how much she is in denial that day. The eyes are sooooo big and the left pupil goes everyway it wants to, yet she thinks she is so cute! That left eye is going to get on Al's nerve sooner than later, because you catch yourself looking at it and not hearing what she is breathing. Have you heard that "noise" she makes when she talks? That is going to get on Al's nerves sooner, too. And let's not forget the body. No matter how much weight she loses, that is one fucked up figure and she really wants to pretend that she can wear a crack-showing evening dress and I expect her to do so sooner rather than later. Let's not forget the shoes--she doesn't wear hosiery; she thinks she looks better in strapless shoes showing those big hoofs. That is a size 11 not a 9 1/2 as she said on The View. You know she is part-owner of a gay bar in New York City called CROBAR, so, yes, Al is gay and the marriage is a trade-off for the both of them. I give The View another year, maybe, and it will be over for Star Jones Reynolds. Watching her on the Red Carpet is painful because there's nothing there. All she does is try to be hipper than she is and call everyone "BABY". I am a HUGE fan of STAR! I believe she gives a "FULL FIGURED WOMAN" some confidence.
I just wish she and a lot of celebs especially blacks should come forward as did al roker and randy jackson and admit they had gastric by-pass surgery!! IT MAY SAVE THE LIFE OF SOMEONE ELSE WHO IS CONTEMPLATING SURGERY!!!
I had my surgery 3/02 and went from 345 lbs to 185lbs please be honest with yourself STAR if you could have lost 100lbs by diet and excercise....you would have done it a LONG TIME AGO STAR!!!!!

Actually, I am a Jamaican, and in our culture skinny girls don't get looked at. The bigger and rounder your ass the better.
Nevertheless, it's quite a leap for me to imagine her and Al doing it. Maybe they don't.
A woman like Star who is successful and bright would get attention and be loved no matter what.
I liked her when she was really fat. She looked like a real person. But I guess she was lying when she said she was confident.

I agree with the post author who commented that Star basically set her and Al up for the negative publicity. It is unrealistic as is the "marriage" to live, work and play in the eye of the public and expect only positive feedback, not going to happen. Take the good with the bad. Star seems to be the one who continuely harp on her "high self esteem" as if anyone ask for her self validation. Who cares? I do try to imagine Star minus the makeup, lashes, wigs, and whatever else is under there? I can't say that I come up with a nice image. Beauty is natural, all those props should be left at the theatre. Now, my question is, since the 5 ring circus wedding is over, has the marriage even been consumated? hmmmm.....Hang in there AL! he is definitely eye candy, gay or otherwise, but I can't help but remember the episode of the flintstones when Dino fell in love with that actress Dinasour Sassie until he seen her without the makeup and ran home full speed ahead, ha!

Star Jones beat it all! She does not gasping for air, She is an intellect, with inner and outer beauty. If her husband is gay, might will get un-gay, and will gain salvation, because a willing and loving woman.
Star is beautiful. Yes she was an assistant DA. I saw videos of her from that time.
Fat or skinny, does not important in some one's humanity. Yes, for Star, this weeding was as important, as for a young girl, because she was not a model type, and now man likes woman skinny. She must have gone through hell, to become some one as she is today. Slim, great figure. Losing this much weight means starving, and give up all those food, which kept her happy before. I know, that people with stomach ring, or stapled stomach actually starving. Cannot eat even salad, because all comes back. Taking medications is difficoult, because must be in powder, or liquid. Over eating could be life threathening.
Star now very beautiful She worked for it. After starving, came the knife. I bet, she had to be tailored in to this body, tons of extra skin had to be removed, and body parts lifted.
If Al will not work out, there will be now man in line for her.
Yes, being that heavy, as she was, actually life treathening too. I feel sorry, because like every woman, she must want have a child, and now she is 44, and with this much tailoring up, God knows if she can have? Her time clock is ticking.
Be loving and considerate.
She was sying, that she had confidence in her previous body, but if we realize, to say that is much more comfortable, than degrade her self.
She like many of us tried to lose weight, but with out success. I bet Dolly Parton, and many those, who lost to half of theirs sizes, had to go through the same way as Star did it, but no one was attacking them.
We must try to walk in her shoe, we must try to be her, and than we will be more understanding.
God bless Star and Al! Remember, there are miracles in our life, so wish, that they life will be one miracle together.

Star Jones beat it all! She does not gasping for air, She is an intellect, with inner and outer beauty. If her husband is gay, might will get un-gay, and will gain salvation, because a willing and loving woman.
Star is beautiful. Yes she was an assistant DA. I saw videos of her from that time.
Fat or skinny, does not important in some one's humanity. Yes, for Star, this weeding was as important, as for a young girl, because she was not a model type, and now man likes woman skinny. She must have gone through hell, to become some one as she is today. Slim, great figure. Losing this much weight means starving, and give up all those food, which kept you happy before. I know, that people with stomach ring, or stapled stomach actually starving. Cannot eat even salad, because all comes back. Taking medications is difficoult, because must be in powder, or liquid. Over eating could be life threathening.
Star now very beautiful She worked for it. After starving, came the knife. I bet, she had to be tailored in to this body, tons of extra skin had to be rmoved, and body parts lifted.
If Al will not work out, there will be now man in line for her.
Yes, being that heavy, as she was, actually life treathening too. I feel sorry, because like every woman, she must want have a child, and now she is 44, and with this much tailoring up, God knows if she can have? Her time clock is ticking.
Be loving and considerate.
She was sying, that she had confidence in her previous body, but if we realize, to say that is much more comfortable, than degrade her self.
She like many of us tried to lose weight, but with out si=uccess. I bet Dolly Parton, and many those, who lost to half of theirs sizes, had to go through the same way as Star did it, but no one was attacking them.
We must try to walk in her shoe, we must try to be her, and than we will be more understanding.

first i must say i am straight. but have you ever stop to think how happy it would be to feel happy. well star is happy so dont hate her love her.you dont have any proof that her husband is gay and if he is they know what they want.some of you have husband and they are living double lives and you dont know while some knows and hiding it in the closet. love you star.
