  1. This movie has been in studio limbo for years now...great to see that, post Brokeback, there's renewed interest in the story.

  2. It's a great story, too! One of the first I read when I came out back in the late 80's.

  4. That is the saddest awards show coverage I've ever seen.

Ugly pics, awful writing. Trent is tedious.

Please, don't junk up your site with that trash.

  5. THIS IS THE BEST WRITING I'VE READ ON PINK IN MONTHS:

I liked Pink when it was a "blog." According to Webster's a blog is:

"A personal Web site that provides updated headlines and news articles of other sites that are of interest to the user, also may include journal entries, commentaries and recommendations compiled by the user."

Unfortunately, there is nothing "personal" about this site. It is now one giant print ad run by entertainment and retail companies and that makes it a lie.

Most of the stories are now planted. Movie studios, awards shows, retails stores, etc. now send Trent tickets and products in advance to bribe him into writing about their products. They find it to be a cheap form of advertising/PR and Trent finds it to be an excellent way to supplement his income.

Unlike Perez Hilton who is honest about being a sell out, Trent acts coy about it. How many times has he been "shocked" by running into someone or "amazed" at how good a movie, TV or awards show was? It's not a mistake. These comments are bought and sold. So much of it is pre arranged in exchange for goods and services it's hard to separate his voice from his advertisers.

How do I know this? Because I am guilty of trading "goodies" with Trent for a "shout out" on this blog. It makes me feel gross now but what makes me even sicker is the fact that he does it on a grander scale day after day and the reader has no idea he or she is being manipulated.

It is common practice in business but not for a "blogger" who is supposed to be publishing an "online diary." If it were a true blog, he would write about this process. Instead he hides it from the reader, because he knows it's shady to manipulate a reader into liking products or services.

The more readers he has, the more money he charges to advertise on Pink. The more readers he has, the more companies bribe him with bigger and better freebies to buy his loyalty and deliberately gush about it so his mostly female fans will go out and buy it--because Trent said "it's hawt!"

This whole pyramid scheme makes me sick. Before you call me a jealous hater, know that I have access to most all of the parties Trent attends and I make 3 times as much money as he does so I can buy my own Pink RAZR without selling my soul, thanks!

Still, I like all the pretty pictures of half naked celebrities so I come back. It's like Cliff Notes for me. Trent skims dozens of other blogs/websites a day to compile his news so it saves me a lot of time. However, I have lost all respect for Trent. Sell out does not even begin to describe what is going on here.

I believe the truth needs to be put out there. Minors should not be manipulated in this way.

Don't even get me started on how all this suspect attention has gone to his head, how cruel his blog copy has become or how disrespectful he can be talking in private about some of his fans and business associates. Unsavory.

  6. TRENT DELETES ALL OF THE HONEST, SOMETIMES UNFLATTERING, COMMENTS FANS POST ON HIS BLOG,
LIKE THIS ONE FROM LAST NIGHT:

Be careful Karma's a Bitch Trent! And ya, what's up with you're damn VH1 show? You know, the show that you sold your soul for and basically screwed ALL of your friends, you know, the friends that originally created the show for you? What the hell is that Trent? Are you really that hungry and that desperate for fame and attention that you'll screw over the three friends that believed in you? Stood behind you? Created the series for you? All because VH1 and your agent at CAA wanted those three friends OUT? SHAME SHAME SHAME on you! Word spreads quickly in this town! People TALK! Be careful Tr3nt!
