Ruins of Yellow Brick Road Discovered North of Kansas

Ybr

It's actually not in Oz, but in North Dakota. An actual yellow brick road was built at the Trollwood Performing Arts School in the 70's, but has since been covered over with concrete. The road went pretty much nowhere but did spell out the word "Oz" when viewed from above.

Just one of the many sightseeing pleasures brought to you by Google Earth.

Here's a Google Earth location marker for those interested in getting out of Kansas.

  3. Oh - I have fond memories of that path. I grew up in Fargo and saw the 1970's production of The Wizard of Oz that that path was built for. It was originally yellow painted bricks but was replaced with concrete pressed into the shape of bricks about 15 years ago. I took some original bricks and put them in my garden. When I was in my teens I spent many summers working in that park on other outdoor productions.
