Gays in the Military: Elton John and David Furnish

Elton John and David Furnish stepped out in military regalia recently, but they weren’t intending to protest U.S. policy. They were off to attend artist Sam Taylor-Wood’s 40th birthday:

“While Sir Elton – who is also celebrating his 60th birthday – looked as if he was getting ready to inspect the May Day parade on Red Square, his partner David Furnish came in a US Marine captain’s dress uniform, proving that yes, it really is true what they have been saying – the Cold War IS over.”

    LOL. Nope.

The UK has legalized civil unions between same-sex partners. Marriage, as a term and legal status has not been legalized for same-sex partnerships…so, I’d have to go with Andy’s reference.

I would refer to General Pace’s comment above. The serendipity of this picture and his words are apt to make me rethink “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”.

Not really but who wants Elton John guarding anything, especially food?
