Queer Eye Jim McGreevey Slams Ex-Wife's Claims

Mcgreeveys

The war goes on. Jim McGreevey won't allow his ex-wife's claim that her book isn't selling well because the former governor called her homophobic to go unchallenged, according to the NY Post:

"In papers filed in Union County, N.J., court, McGreevey said Dina points the finger at him 'instead of blaming the failure of her book on her awful appearance on the 'Oprah' show, where she appeared in an inappropriate and ill-fitting ball gown with a plunging neckline [or] the continual rolling of her eyes indicating a strange effect [or] the fact that her book is poorly written or dull.'"

The Queer Eye for the divorcee doesn't stop with plunging necklines.

"'To believe her assertion,' his papers contend, 'you have to believe that [McGreevey] has control of the reading public.' Quoting Shakespeare's 'Julius Caesar,' McGreevey suggests to Matos McGreevey: 'The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves.' Instead of accusing him of bad sales, the Love Gov said in the papers, Matos McGreevey could blame 'the attitude of certain interviewers (including Oprah [Winfrey]) who questioned the unbelievable assertion that [Matos McGreevey] did not know her husband was gay.' What's more, McGreevey claims, 'such controversy between a husband and wife would tend to INCREASE book sales, not decrease them...Instead of blaming any one of a hundred reasons why her book was a failure, she blames [me],' the papers allege."

Such controversy may also have the effect of wanting them both to go away.

  8. I was trying to come to terms with a man in his 40's coming out publically and dealing with all the things we had to when we let the world know who we are. But I just can't get past the fact that most of us did so to our own detriment; to the loss of our families; to the loss of our personal safety and this grown man of rank, privaledge and means wants to go around acting like a preening FAGGOT and expect an across the board Mea Culpa from the rest of us.

That's not how it works. Why isn't his boyfriend straigtening him out???

  9. God what a bitchy queen. He's over compensating for all those years in the closet. McSkeevey as a public persona for our community. Do. Not. Want!

I understand that coming out is a difficult issue that is personal to every gay man, but this man has some serious gall to blame her for the shoddy marriage because she knew he was gay. I'm not saying she didn't, she might have, but a sham marriage works both ways, sister.

  10. And for that matter, why are we letting her off the hook? She is just as shrewd a media manipulator as he is...she is just whining now because her crappy tell-all book isn't selling like hotcakes. Well, guess what, sister, people are just plain tired of your she said/she said convoluted love affair/marriage/divorce. No one gives a crap anymore!!!
Boy, it (almost) makes me long for the olden days when the press agents would have swept all these dirty little details under the carpet. Now, we have to listen to endless discussions and airing of dirty laundry. Enough already!

  11. Do you want to know the best way for them to go away.

STOP WRITING STORIES ABOUT THEM. DONT COVER THEM ON THIS SITE ANYMORE.

Just because he's gay doesnt mean we need to hear about them
