  1. I'm deeply troubled by that commercial.

  2. People who obsess about other people's perversions are almost always the biggest perverts (e.g., Ted Haggard, Jimmy Swaggart, Senator Vitter, and so on).

  3. Romney is such a tool.

  4. Why is it that, from Republicans' point of view, it's ok for government to be paternalistic when it comes to "protecting" us from porn, sex, and depictions of violence...but it's *not* ok when it comes to protecting us from being underpaid, overcharged, injured, harmed, or taken advantage of by corporate interests?

That was rhetorical, folks. I know the answer (money).

  5. I'm deeeeeeeeeeeeeeply troubled by everything about Mitt Romney.

By the way, did anyone else notice how different the voiceover for the commercial sounded than the quick "I'm Mitt Romney and I approved this message" tag at the end? The voice discussing cleaning up the water' was pleasant to hear...the voice for the "I'm Mitt Romney and I approved this message" tag sounded old and harsh. Did the guy actually pay a voiceover artists to record the copy for him? I've never seen that in a political ad.

  6. Victoria Beckham's Coming to America was one of the most enjoyable hours on television in recent memory. This program totally changed my perception of her. She is naturally funny with a comedic style that is fresh and spontaneous. Kathy Griffin watch out! Posh could take prime time by storm with a reality show if she wants to. The special will air again tomorrow night, Thursday, July 19th on NBC.

  7. I liked the Victoria Beckham show. Who knew she could smile? I thought she came across as cute, funny and engaging. It wasn't exactly Shakespeare, but it was better than most reality TV.

  8. Uh oh, Andy. Apparently your blog has been invaded by Posh/Beck's flack machine. Somewhat flattering, but still. Ick.

  9. That Mitt Romney spot was frightening. Swimming in the ocean....What the heck does that mean??

If he's really concerned about violence and sex, etc., he should tighten controls over gun use; fund safe-sex education initiatives; encourage people to turn the channel if they don't like something on television; support same-sex marriage and adoption so that children can have good, stable homes; end the war in Iraq so that we're not teaching our children that violence is the way to solve problems; and provide a living wage for anyone willing to work.

Of course, he won't do any of these things because his administration will be ruled by the NRA, the religious right, and crazy watchdog groups.

  10. Yo Mitt baby, if you're really concerned about the pornography, lack or morals and depictions of violence you might start cleaning up your Republican party. Start clearing out the pervs, pedophiles, warmongers and liars that infect your party, starting right at the top and working your way down. Otherwise, go take a shit in your magic underwear.

  11. Infectious ditty from Cazwell. The sample and the chorus work really well and I'm glad he kept the lyrics simple this time. The video is fun, too. It has potential.

  12. Mitt, Mitt, Mitt...This man has should have the copyright on smoke and mirrors. He did absolutely NOTHING for the state of MA while he was Governor (except give his hacks a sweet job in the State House). If he were SO concerned about exposing porn to kids, why didn't he do something about it when he was affiliated with Marriott (where getting "Young Studz" is as easy as pushing a couple of buttons)?

  13. I had my soccer team over for a BBQ last night to watch Victoria Beckham (swear to god) and everyone agreed she was MAJOR!!! Seriously, I'd seen her before on TV so knew she was funny, but she really won converts last night. Good for her!

  14. Posh is now allowed to watch while I schtup her husband. I loved her show. Cute, funny, engaging and she obviously does not take herself too seriously.

  15. Why did Victoria Beckham wait so long to show the world she's human (not the fembot she portrays so well)?

It's all nice and good, but I don't see why all the hype about these two? Aging W.T. sports guy and hot wifey from a 90s girl band.

  16. I was not planning to watch the show, and missed the first 15 minutes, but it was playing in the living room, and I just had to sit down and watch it. I actually really enjoyed it. Is that bad??? She didn't take herself serious, and knows her world is ridiculous, and goes along for the ride it seems. Victoria B. actually made me laugh.

  17. "Otherwise, go take a shit in your magic underwear."

I laughed so hard I peed in mine.

    Thanks Tom. I needed that.

  18. Mitt Romney is going to be the next Mark Foley.

  19. saw the posh special and as per usual the critics have their heads firmly wedged up their arses and are completely out of touch, posh was funny, engaging and entertaining, more proof of her talent can be seen in david beckham himself, do some research back to the time before she met him, he was seriously blah, she basically created the metrosexual look by using david as her dress up dolly.
