"the damage that could be done by an unhinged, irrational, Chicken Little of a president shooting his mouth off"
Keith, that was FUCKING AMAZING!!! Your rants are a little over cooked now, but the writing is still excellent!

Keith O Rocks but,Wow! Sex in the Friggin' City! That's BIG NEWS! Much more important than:
One year after the Bush administration promised to streamline a process to allow people with HIV infection to visit the United States despite a congressionally mandated travel ban, critics are saying that the proposed new rules are more restrictive than the old ones.

Towleroad already covered the new AIDS restrictions back on November 21.

So maybe you should spend more time reading the archives Timothy and less being a smartass.

Right, and the abbreviated comment period ended yesterday (12/6) but Oh My! some stupid television show to big screen or some twink in underwear is what all the gay tongues are wagging about in this corner of the Internet. My goodness if Justin Timberlake farts there will be an immediate update with YouTube video but blatant discrimination against HIV+ people - yawn - that's so early 90's and simply not sexy. Gee anyone know what Madonna's new album will be titled?

Timothy you are a obviously bitter about something eles in your life so how about you focus on that a bit more than what Andy CHOOSES to post on HIS blog...
And Don his the nail on the head - no one is forcing you to read anything here so how you just scram already...
God what's with all these nasty bitter jaded queens who just want to use this blog to vent their unhappiness?
Posted by: Derek | Dec 8, 2007 10:19:36 AM
Nah, not bitter, actually quite happy, active, and well adjusted but I do get oh so tired of the same old Ooh! Sarah Jessica!, OOOOHHH! Madonna!, Squeeeell! Celine! garbage that apparently queers are supposed to have a morbid fascination with.
It is certainly true that Andy can fill his blog with whatever trite crap-ola he wants (and to be fair he also supplies a huge amount of very important information to, by, and for the Queer Community - more than most) to thrill and amaze the vapid visitors who clearly frequent this site. It is also true that I don't have to read the fluff pieces but, I wonder, are comment sections ONLY for those who agree and like what is being posted? Is a different,or even negative comment really so offensive? If Andy didn't expect loud mouth contrarians (as I admit I can be at times) he would monitor and approve posts.
Why, dear sirs, don't you simply not read my comments if you don't like the content? ;-)

andy, there is no longer a question. bush is both stupid and a liar. and as regerds obama: our country is not at "war". we cannot have a war with an abstract term, such as "terrorism." this is clearly repug-speak.
we have lost a war against "poverty," and "drugs." are we to lose a figurative war against non-existant enimies? the only war that exists in our country is the war between fear and rationallity, the war between compassion and hate, the war between fundamentalism (something we loathe in other countries) and secularism (something our founding fathers rejoiced in).
please, for all that is human and rational, let us not be fooled by ambiguiety and the sleight of hand that is obama's, apparently too facile, acceptance of bushist language.
a literal war means that we are fighting a literal enemy such as hitler or japan or bin laden. obama appears to not understand this very basic principle. his grandstanding does not serve him well.

My God what is passing itself off as "well adjusted" these days....
Timothy your view of things is just a tad off center. Actually it is so far off center that I just have to laugh at the riduculous statements you keep making.
Sorry to say but as a gay man I feel no societal pressure to have any fascination over Celine, Madonna, Sarah, Hillary, Aunt Jamima or any other celebrity...it's really sad and pathetic that you somehow do. And it's also pretty sad that you feel the need to bitch so much about it.
And negative comments are obviously welcome. What isn't welcome are the nasty comments from someone whose soul purpose is just to be nasty jerk. Someone who is obviously unhappy, who just wants to vent their bitter unhappiness to the world and to slight and malign others just to make himself feel a little better.
And Timothy dear sir, it is often said that the traits we despise in others are usually traits we can find in ourselves.

when someone is so jabberish, sometimes the only response is, aahh shaddup!
Posted by: nic | Dec 8, 2007 3:29:10 PM
as if anyone were to misunderstand, my comment was for TIMOTHY.
Posted by: nic | Dec 8, 2007 3:33:29 PM
Dear Derek et al., I assume you do not know me. Your assumptions (one might say slighting and maligning assumptions) about my character and/or psychological makeup based on a few scribbles meant as critique are baseless and might say a bit more about you than me.
Perhaps refraining from personal attacks in response to general comments about perceptions based on the often banal content of "queer media", including this blog, would make the discourse more productive.
