  1. Blunder? Andy, your charity knows no bounds.

  2. Anyone think CBS will ever follow up on these? Nah, what am I thinking?

“[Obama told a] stirring tale for the Selma audience about how he had been conceived by his parents, Barack Obama Sr. and Ann Dunham, because they had been inspired by the fervor following the “Bloody Sunday” voting rights demonstration that was commemorated March 4. “There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Ala.,” he said, “because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born. So don’t tell me I don’t have a claim on Selma, Ala. Don’t tell me I’m not coming home to Selma, Ala.” Obama was born in 1961, and the Selma march occurred four years later, in 1965. The New York Times reported that when the senator was asked about the discrepancy later that day, he clarified: “I meant the whole civil rights movement.” -

  3. What jerks kids can be. I remember getting bullied all through school and the teachers/principals looking the other way. It's one of the major reasons I don't go to my high school reunion. If you weren't a popular jock you were mud in the eyes of the teachers, students and parents. It takes education not just for the students. Teachers and parents should be educated as well. Bullies should be expelled permanently when they do violence of any kind to anybody.

  4. I can not find one word on the NYC police and the protest on the news sites. What gives?

  5. pugzz, that is why blogs such as towleroad are so important as they offer us the news that the government owned media will not cover.

  7. Some of Matt Lauer's questions are just AWFUL!

  8. To the “Billary” supporter:
Really. How many times in Hillary’s entire life do you suppose she’s had to duck and run because of life threatening gunfire? More than twice? Fewer than, say, 3? None? Wouldn’t you be able to explicitly remember each individual event. Sure you would - if they were real. Even if I were "sleep deprived", I'd wake up enough for the incident to imprint on my brain. Post traumatic stress anyone? Yet, she has professed over and over during public speeches, to “remember” having to do so, instead of taking part in the actual calm tarmac reception. Now, she made these remarks in her little speeches while supposedly already awake and lucid. And since she brought up 'sleep deprived'. Is her false blond dyed, addled brain the head we want to wake from dreamland to answer the phone at 3am in the Whitehouse? Really? Or do we just excuse all this fake bravery ‘cuz being a Clinton relieves one from the normal onus of eliciting actual facts when recalling events? Really! The woman has brass ones bigger than Bill's.

  9. I agree with the above comment that some of Matt Lauer's questions were pretty stupid...and, if I may add, seemed more accusatory TOWARD the victim than sympathetic. Geez, what a dumbass.

  10. "I took her stuff and left." That is HRC's latest spin on the landing under sniper fire that never occurred. So much for "experience," the keystone of her campaign. What a deceitful, cold and calculating person. She lacks any semblance of human warmth and understanding and really believes that the "truth" is what she wants it to be. No, I definitely do not want her answering "the phone" at 3 o'clock in the morning. She would create instant political paralysis.

  11. I live a few blocks from the UN and see this shit all the time when there are protests. I also went to the RNC and the cops were as rough as you can be for something so peaceful. Bloomberg of course is as quite as usual having tea in his Park Ave Condo.

  12. What's the matter with tea? Please don't conflate a lovely beverage with your dissatisfaction with local government!

  13. What does Billy do to provoke the bullying? You've got to be kidding me. I don't care if Billy shows up in a hoop skirt! The issue is the school's response and the lack of accountability for ASSAULT!!!

Usually, I like Matt Lauer, but he was way off here.
