Oklahoman Editor Lament's State's Focus on Sally Kern

In a video posted on Friday, Ed Kelley, the editor of The Oklahoman newspaper, blasted Sally Kern, her supporters, last week's "Sally Rally", and her distracting bigoted message.

Kern2Said Kelley: "What if instead of 1,000 people gathered to praise her, 1,000 people - smart, law-abiding people who really care about Oklahoma and its future - came instead to insist that our state can and must send legislators to the capitol who will focus on real issues that affect Oklahoma. In other words, 1,000 voices that said we've had 100 years of Sally Kern, and 100 years of that is enough..."

  1. Unfortunately, the answer to Kelley's question is, "If 1000 people did that, it wouldn't be Oklahoma."

  2. I have to say that I agree, it would be great if people had enough sense to elect people who will go in and do a job that betters the lives of their constituents, instead all we get are hate mongers, homophobes and racists and religious nutcase's who think this is 31 A.D. and not 2008 elected to office from DC to Alaska.

  4. It's a refreshing 2 minutes, and he deserves our thanks. But what a weird mix of talking way too fast and terrible annunciation with that hokey Oklahoma drawl.

  5. This guy is right and he's very brave to say what he did in Oklahoma. The whole country needs more people like him who are thoughtful and willing to speak up against this kind of foolishness.

  6. Isn't it funny how this video has disappeared from the Oklahoman's site?
