SNL to Media: Grow a Pair

The performance everyone wanted from Tina Fey, everyone got. Hopefully her appearances in this guise won't extend beyond November.
Unfortunately for the rest of this week's opener, it appears Michael Phelps' talents were still best suited to the swimming pool.
Watch it, AFTER THE JUMP...

The opening was a HOWL! Pitch perfect satire.
The remainder of the show... suuuuuuuked. Holy Mare'd! What crap! I tried to sit through the next three very un-funny skits, but had to turn it off. When did watching people try and mug it up while badly mis-reading off que cards become entertainment?
Hey! Loren Michaels; why not shorten the show to 1/2 hour and call "The Saturday Night Show"? Have an opening parody, perhaps Weekend Update and a guest band. Can the rest of it.

Tina Fey is sorely missing. The opening was great, the rest sucked.

SNL sucks since Tina Fey left for 30 Rock. Go to 30 Rock that’s where the funny is! Liz Lemmon Rulez

Great plan on how SNL can improve itself.
The Clinton palin skit was great.

I was shocked at how BAD the rest of the episode was after the great 5 minutes at the beginning. Seth Myers is the show's head writer. Whats up with that crap, Seth?

God! Get off Phelps' back! He's not an actor. That wasn't the point of him going on the show.

SNL would be smart to stop asking sports personalities to host the show. Phelps had a great achievement and deserves his acolades, but we get it. Enough. I want to see talented actors and comedians on SNL. I want to see Becky Newton or Lee Pace.

I think it's time to put SNL to bed. The opening skit was spot-on, but the rest was, well, um, AWFUL!
