CINDY MCCAIN: Her interview with Katie Couric yesterday.
ROMNEY'S GAFFE: Al Gore doesn't own a private jet.
GAY REPUBLICANS: Street interviews by Mike Diamond.

The FOX News JO video for the weekend! And, just in time for the return to college, do a shot every time the word maverick (or "mavrick", to use the Republican spelling) is spoken and let the fun begin. I am glad I got my lunch down before viewing.

Well, they voted for Bush. Twice.

To think that Al Gore has a private jet is ludicrous. How could anyone afford a jet when their electric bills are as astronomical as Gore's?
He just uses other people's private jets, just like the rest of the rich & phony hypocrites who tell us what we're doing wrong while they're doing much worse.

Exactly Paul he either rents or gets a loaner to fly off somewhere to lecture on being green. As in do as I say not as I do.

Wow, I love Mike Diamond! None of the LCR's could say anything smart nor could they back up their claims. Amazing...

At what point do we stop characterizing their misstatements as gaffes, and begin calling them what they are: lies?
Posted by: Dave | Sep 5, 2008 7:22:47 PM
I only made it about 32 seconds before pulling over a nearby trash can. Moose Hunter? WTF? Is that supposed to imply she's got a hairy ass and arms? Don't they really mean MONEY hunter?
I'll bet Hillary could whip her ass in less than 32 seconds, and not loose a single eyelash.

The worst thing about that Palin-vid is the music!!!
What were they thinking? It's abysmal. I was waiting for the music to stop at some point, but it kept going on and on... Plus, everyone can compose that kind of music with the mobile phone.

I wonder if Cindy McCain would have issues with "all education" if it included mandatory gay history...

"I wonder if Cindy McCain would have issues with "all education" if it included mandatory gay history..."
I found that hilarious too - though I had to think of sex ed. How about giving the kids as much info as possible about sex and not some ivory-tower talk about stay pure till you get married?

what did mike diamond say? something about self-loathing and alcohol?
yes, he nails the gay-repugs' scrotums to the floor.
he's brilliant.

I'm a mill worker in Indiana. I was raised republican. I grew up very poor. Only my folks and one brother still vote with the bush league. A lot of Florida gays thought the shrub was a strong leader and voted to keep him. Merchandising and advertising still sells a lot of crap to us Americans, as well as trash like Fix news.

The biography video of Sarah Palin is very well done. It is inspiring and effective. One may not agree with all her positions, but she is a self made, competent, driven lady. Furthermore, she has proven to be a great speaker. I do not see why this video would induce "gag reflex". Pity partisanship, rather, makes it hard for me to control the gag relfex.

"The biography video of Sarah Palin is very well done. It is inspiring and effective."
Effective and gag-inducing are hardly mutually exclusive. I'm sure the Sarah groupies--and there are many--are eating it up. But really: the moose hunting (such an important VP qualification!), the overwrought music, the hilarious overuse of the word "maverick" . . . you're a gay Towleroad reader and don't find it just a wee bit nauseating?
Granted, all these politician bio films are sentimental kitsch; this one just lays it on particularly thick. She's a talented and ambitious woman, no doubt about it, one with extreme social and religious views, thoroughly wrong for VP, obviously wrong for gay people. Fortunately, few but the base and FOX News will be seduced by this packaging.

"None of the LCR's could say anything smart nor could they back up their claims. Amazing..."
Well you know when the interview questions are mostly about Cindy McCain's drug use and surgery habits, I think anyone would have a hard time backing up any claims...but that's quality gay journalism for you cause, you know, that's all we care about.
