He said mothers of other children in Spain wanted to see them become lawyers."

Signsroad.jpg American Family Association ends McDonald's boycott following executive's resignation: "The conservative Christian group had been calling for Richard Ellis, formerly McDonald's vice president of U.S. communications, to step down from the board of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. Ellis recently left his U.S. post and returned to an executive position in McDonald's Canadian operation, McDonald's officials said. Because Ellis is based in Canada and the gay and lesbian chamber is a U.S. association, Ellis resigned from its board, said Bill Whitman, a McDonald's spokesman...The American Family Association also said McDonald's notified it that the restaurant giant has no plans to renew its membership in the chamber when it expires at the end of the year."

The figure comes from adding the value of the various services that forests perform, such as providing clean water and absorbing carbon dioxide. Speaking to BBC News on the fringes of the congress, study leader Pavan Sukhdev emphasised that the cost of natural decline dwarfs losses on the financial markets. 'It's not only greater but it's also continuous, it's been happening every year, year after year,' he told BBC News."

road.jpg Nuts: Stem cells from testicles seen as possible alternative to embryos: "The new type of stem cells could be useful for growing personalized replacement tissues, according to a study in Thursday's issue of the journal Nature. But because of their source, their highest promise would apply to only half the world's population: men. Embryonic stem cells can give rise to virtually any tissue in the body and scientists believe they may offer treatments for diseases like Parkinson's and diabetes and for spinal cord injuries. The testicular cells avoid the ethical dilemma of embryonic stem cells, which are harvested in a process that destroys the embryos."

  2. Humph! Nobody needed a computer to tell you about James Franco's beauty. Perfection, baby. And I don't care what race you are or he is, gotta' admire a pretty man.

    And size doesn't matter...from a distance.

  3. I don't care what line of work you are in, nobody deserves to be beaten and raped.

I hope this is not a BS story though...

  4. I am, and should be repulsed by the Mason Wyler story, but I must admit that I found some of the elements of the story to be, well, hot. And I couldn't wait to forward the story to "Daddy".

    So sue me!

  5. The story about Wyler is awful - check out this post I wrote about anti-LGBT hate crimes in DC and nationwide...an anti-violence group is reforming here to combat this awful stuff:

  6. I read about the Mason Wyler rape story a few days ago on QueerClick. I'm dubious to say the least.

  7. Reading the Mason Wyler story was sad; I agree with Marc, rape is not acceptable.

ANd he was charged for the rape kit?

There is a male rape kit?

  8. Right now Mason Wyler has this on the top of his Myspace page:

"Mason Wyler isn't the only rape victim laughing at WYLERNATION.COM"

    http://www.myspaceprofiles.org/profiles/frame.asp?viewprofile=70488828

    WTF?

  9. I feel awful for Wyler.

As a rape victim myself, I know how humiliating it is to be accused of bringing it on myself. No one deserves to be accused of that.

Discussing the incident with authorities was the most humiliating experience of my life, and I can empathize with Wyler.

  10. A lot of people have questioned Wyler's account and wondered if this was a publicity stunt like his abortive tour of anonymous sex sites last year. On a related note, Ryan Gosling looks an awful lot like Wyler in that dog walking picture.

  11. Stop! Guys, please STOP! Rape is terrible but "Mason" was not raped. Go look at the link in the first comment. It's been proven to be a fake. He faked the police report, changed the story 4 times. Whatever you do, PLEASE do not send him money through the link Mason has set up. PLEASE.

This is a disgrace to all the real victims of rape.

  12. If he was raped that is terrible, but something about this story does not add up.

And does it seem as if he's trying to present himself as being above other gay guys? "I don't drink, I don't go to circuit parties, etc." No, but you do have sex with strange men for money. I don't judge, but playing the angel card is absurd.

  13. hmmm, i'd like to put ryan on a leash and take him for a walk down rodeo drive...

  14. I agree that a rape is a horrific experience, but I must say that his telling of the story on that website was told in an erotic fashion...not typically how one who was raped would re-tell what happened to them. "He was much better looking than his pictures. He was really hot". I can't imagine a rape victim repeating such a thing, even if it was true. If someone brutally attacked me in such a way, and I have been physically gay bashed in my life, I would hardly remember the person who beat me up and raped me as being really hot. It just doesn't sound right to me.

If this rape actually did take place, then I apologize for doubting it, but again, his telling does sound like conscious of unconscious erotica. Descriptions of rapes don't usually read this way.

  15. After reading this specious claim from Wyler (I read about it at his web site) and noting all of the other violence against gays reported on Andy's web site, I was wondering how many of the readers out there have also been a victim of violence. I myself have been both verbally assaulted many times, as well as having endured a single physical assault in my lifetime (56 years). Maybe Andy could post a poll. I'd be curious to know. How about you>

  16. I don't care how hot the guy was, whoever invites a trick to come fuck he and his boyfriend deserves whatever they get.
We are fighting for commited permanent marriage, not a sham of an open trash marriage. If you want to slut around fine, STAY SINGLE !!!

  17. Wyler's story is full of complications much like Wyler himself it seems. What's not as complicated however is that STOP MEANS STOP regardless of what you do for a living or latent fantasies you may have harbored. Sexual assault between men is a fact and should be treated with just as much respect as male/female rape.

If Wyler's entire story is true, and the pics of his injuries would lead one to conclude that something went terribly wrong, then it would be in his best interest to remove the story as (somewhat salaciously ) told from his blog and start treating the whole epipsode with the seriuousness it deserves.

  19. Oh, Jesus Christ. Since when did the Golden Arches become the Golden Gates? I guess it's okay to promote obesity and childhood diabetes, but to promote business in the gay community, oh lawdy lawdy we can't have anyone eatin up any of those blashpemy burgers and heathen nuggets. Christians can blow me and have actually wanted to do so now that I think of it.

  20. Here's Mason Wyler's story as told to AVN/GayVN:
    http://www.avn.com/gay/articles/32746.html

The writer was able confirm an incident report was filed with the Dallas Police Department.

  21. The media makes a mega-stink about charging victims for rape-kits in Alaska but yawn at the same thing in Texas?

  22. Not only is Franco an adonis, he's Jewish too. Talk about twice blessed.

  23. We've prooven that the black-eye in the "rape" photo of Mason Wyler is a fake. It's apparantly a Photoshop job of an earlier photo of him in the hospital, for a totally nonrape related injury. We found a very similar image of him in that very same hospital bed, sans black eye:

  25. Jim...the two photos are definitely from the same time. I was unable to post on your blog, but Will's points are very convincing. One thing he didn't point out is how the hospital robe fits Mason around his neck. On our left (Mason's right side of his neck) the way the robe rides up and the triangle part that touched the neck are virtually identical...as is the angular position of his entire shoulder.
Good catch in finding the photo.

As a photoshop expert myself, I've put many black eyes and wounds on faces in images I'm manipulating and the one here isn't even done that well.
