I have to say, I don't feel good about this. Flynt's done some great work for Freedom of Speech issues along the way -- and busted some serious hypocrites in congress -- but I fear at the end of the day this will have consequences that don't help either side. In his later years Flynt seemed to use his money to fight hypocrisy, but this strikes me as more like cashing in, and courting controversy for the love of controversy. I am a big (big) fan of porn but this just panders to the worst in everyone. I sort of equate it to the race baiting on the anti-obama side.

Hey, by now I should have enough credibility on this site to prove that I don't support Palin.
I think this posting is pretty crappy. Pushing this kind of sexist attack on Palin is just as bad as attacking Hillary Clinton on her looks, or Obama on African heritage, because they are all about exploiting the worst elements of the political extremes.
Is Palin a hypocrite worthy of derision? Yes. But giving publicity to a porn movie like this is just a sexist attack on her that attacks her for being female. This is just as wrong as attacking someone for being gay, black, latino, biracial, etc. It operates on the worst sentiments.
Hit Palin for her policies, hypocrisies, character, etc. But porn stuff is just as bad as the racist jabs against Obama.
Again, I understand the anger against her but publicizing Larry Flynt's porn isn't the answer when there is so much more truthful facts that are far more repellent.

Wait - this is the same lady who's letting "kill him!" get shouted at her rallies without repudiation, and you people are worried about a sex slur? In my opinion, her many documented atrocious actions are true pornography.

It's obviously meant to be a parody. I don't recall anyone getting up in arms on Monica Lewinsky's behalf when the porn machine (including Hustler) went into gear over her and Bill Clinton--who was an actual president.

Could you imagine the uproar if something like this were made with a character based on Michelle Obama?

Tanks don't have tires... rendering the entire scene moot. :)

This is a riot!
Those of you who think this is inappropriate should be reminded of National Review's Rich Lowry who "sat up a little straighter in his chair" when Palin winked at him, right before her smile sent little starbursts ricocheting around the room.
Palin's the first wet-dream candidate we have.
How about that NYT piece on the "Sarah Dudes" at all her rallies? Seen that before?

Call me sexist, but, aside from the stupid title, I think it's hilarious, and I'll take the drunk Russian on the left with the fetching sideburns. There are many things to be upset about during this election but, for me, a porn parody isn't one of them.

David,
Look, I can't stand Palin. She's horrible. But, I detest racist, sexist, homophobic, and religious-based attacks.
This movie debases Palin for being a woman. So what if some lowlife Republican wrote about his erection. He's a lowlife Republican! What else should we expect from those scum?
I'm just saying that there are a TON of other legitimate ways to attack Palin without mimicking the sick crap that right wing uses to attack us and our allies.
Attack Palin for being a nitwit; a corrupt politician; a hypocrite; etc. But attacking her for being a sex object is the kind of thing that Right has done historically to women on the left.
Was it right of the media to criticize Hillary Clinton for her clothes and make up when they said nothing about her male counterparts? No.
Last week, some sick f*ck Republican woman sent out a flyer with the image of Obama on a made up food stampe that was decorated with fried chicken, ribs, and watermelon. It was DISGUSTING. Just as this attack on Palin is.

...um, people seem to always forget, "Freedom of Speech" wasn't meant for speech we like.
As Jerry Falwell probably can't say with his mouth all stuffed with penises in a deep dark chamber in Hell: God Bless Larry Flynt.

Superb acting! Killer sets!

Noah, the difference is
Palin was actually in a beauty pageant.
Her own supporters are jerking off to her.
Comparisons to treatment of Obama or Hillary or Michelle don't work: they're not being sexualized by themselves or their supporters (though I must say Betty White's comment about Obama did strike a chord for me).

And the Oscar goes too...
Some of you need to lighten up, it's just a straight porn movie having a little fun with current events, it's no different than when they do a take-off on popular movies and TV shows using look-alikes. Besides, I doubt the majority of men they're gearing this towards even know who Sara Palin is.

I don't think we need to defend this. Its not sponsored by the DNC; this is Larry Flynt doing his thing, and it's as inappropriate and as sexist as any porn.
It's outrageous, but isn't Governor Palin the one who's "winking" at us as she campaigns for VP? As far as I know, Michelle Obama is not doing that.
I'm kind of enjoying the satire of a Palin "who can see Russia" from her window, and a Palin who can greet Russian soldiers in for a drink and ... a litle Alaskan hospitality.

Thank you Johnny! I was gonna say Larry Flynt didn't spend too much on this political statement. It's porn guys. Probably not the type you jerk-off to.

Right on, Noah!
