  1. I'm usually not a huge fan of Ammiano but glad to see an elected official finally having the balls to put the legalization of Marijuana on the legislative agenda. Since the voters in California approved the use of "medical" marijuana years ago hopefully the voters will do the same with this legislation.

  2. That's right, Bob Allen--suck it up!

  3. It should be noted that on Oscar night Sean and Robin Wright Penn hosted an event at their home for the 'Milk' gang, and that Anne Kronenberg (Milk's campaign manager) attended and said that Penn had a TV gig the next morning, but that "he was so excited, he probably would have stayed up all night." (from today's SF Chronicle)

As for not thanking Robin from the stage, I was surprised she even attended. The news a couple months ago was that they were a few steps away from divorce. I guess they've reconciled.

Too bad about Chiang Mai. It was pretty gay friendly when I was there a few months ago, as were other parts of Thailand.

  4. Now that Sean Penn got his Oscar he is running away from the film as fast as possible. Sean Penn is an anti-gay bigot. He's made derogatory remarks in the past about gay people including on the set of Milk. Every study on anti-gay bigotry has shown heterosexual males to be at least moderately anti-gay. Haterosexual males are the creators and perpetuators of anti-gay bigotry.

  5. Bill, your suggestion that all heterosexual males are 'at least moderately' anti-gay weakens your assertion that Sean Penn is an anti-gay bigot. He is abrasive, he's an arrogant prick, he has said any number of gay slurs in his past, and those things shouldn't be forgiven or overlooked.

However, he accepted the role, he worked with a gay director, on a script written by a gay writer, he didn't shy away from the sexual aspects of the story, he committed to the part to such an extent that he was nominated for and won an Oscar, and he gave a moving and thoughtful speech on gay marriage and equal rights. I haven't heard anything about him making derogatory remarks on the Milk set, and I don't think he's distancing himself from the film. (He's distancing himself from his wife, but that's another unfortunate story.)

As for the rest, you might as well argue that most men are 'at least moderately' anti-female and that most whites are 'at least moderately' anti-black. We all have our prejudices--including you, it seems.

  6. How you gonna have a parody cereal box of Michael Phelps, and it's not "Weedies"??

I mean, how easy was that?

  7. Bill, would I be correct in guessing that you don't know many straight men under, say, 40? Or especially 30? Because your generalization is idiotic.

Also, you say that Penn is running away from Milk as fast as he can now that he has his Oscar. Well, did you notice that the party he skipped was on Saturday---before he got the Oscar? And that he hosted a party on Sunday---after he got the Oscar? So your argument isn't all that convincing.

  8. Hmm? Sean is runing away from the film as fast as he can? Bill, what type of lube did you use to pull THAT out of your ass? Good god, girl! There might be a small car in there too.

And as for LaToya Tom A .... very good idea. Doesn't stand a chance in hell of passing. But nice try. I see that grandstanding is still your best act.

  9. It has been reported elsewhere that Penn and Wright agreed that he would not thank her in his acceptance speech so he could spend more time speaking about human rights. That makes him a bigot, how? And the item is from a source of the New York Post, a newspaper that hates gays and "outspoken" liberals such as Penn.

  10. David D., a former gay-for-pay porn star last year killed a next door neighbor because he was gay.

Geronimo, I am under 30. From my experience and looking at all the data I know haterosexual males are bigots.

  11. Paul McGill (the guy who plays the gay character in the new Fame) is gorgeous. He just finished two years on Broadway in A Chorus Line, and also plays the young Philippe Petit in the documentary Man on Wire (which just won the Oscar). And he has nude scenes...ooooh! I can't wait for Fame.

  12. I grew up with the Henderson sisters, Kim and Melissa. I clearly remember my parents going to the Blythewood and having a great time. A truck driver and his nurse wife. While Melissa and I were running around Schenectady doing fashion shows, my parents were were knocking one back with drag queens! They never once said a degrading word about anyone they ever met there. I remember going to the Blythewood once I was old enough too. It's been a long time since I stepped foot in Schenectady, no less the Blythewood, but I send my respects to the Henderson family for their loss. I hope you realize the impact your family has had, I'm reading about Joey's passing in Los Angeles! That's a legacy. You should be very proud. Rest in Peace,

  13. Don't you mean all wHATE people are racists, David D.? Bill, thanks for the chuckles.

  14. Well Bill, you've certainly made your point. A gay for pay porn star is definitely representative of all straight men. No more argument from me---your universal declaration seals the case. I'll be sure to tell my four straight brothers and the 60 percent of my friends who are straight men, because I think they missed the data you've been reviewing.

  15. Sean Penn is anti-gay to the core.He saw the opportunity on Milk and used it.That only shows he's a prick and anti-gay.Opportunistic,yes that he is.I don't know why gay people thought Sean Penn have changed his stand when it came to gays. You are a bunch of stupid nincompoops. He never fooled me and I wrote about it many times in this site.I knew Harvey in New York and San Francisco and I do not believe that Sean did him honor, on the contrary,he made a caricature of Harvey.I hope you are all happy.

  16. Who is playing the gay teen in Fame 2.0 is not important. Who is playing Shirley "Well-fuck-you-Leroy-This-was-my-audition-Who-wants-to-go-to-school-to-learn-to-dance-anyway-This-school-sucks!" Mulholland is of vital importance.
