    When you look back at RuPaul’s iconic LA Eyeworks spread, her face was joyously featured, as she ebulently held a monocle to her glamorous eye. This particular ad does appear terribly sedate, and contrasts the over the top nature of Drag. Could they not have featured her in clear lensed eyewear? Has the time arrived for me to switch to Paul Smith?! Would Nina or Rebecca stood for this obvious slight?!

    The nerve!

    These glasses do not match Bebe’s look AT ALL!! They don’t even fit her beautiful face. Someone failed in the style department with this photo shoot. The glasses look like they should be on a six year old girl playing on the beach with her sand bucket, not an over the top beauty queen.

    Since there’s hardly any celeb status for her yet, I don’t blame the advertiser for wanting to promote the product over the “star”. RuPaul is a big name, Bebe isn’t there yet. She’s lucky to be shown at all.

    The whole ad series is a rip-off from the “What becomes a legend most?” series that ran back when fur was popular in the 60s and 70s. Same typeface, same style of photography, same layout.

    the photo IZ dead…it evokes NOTHING when you look at it.
    She should be showing outrageous expression
    and not wearing the glasses in a traditional way…ALL WRONG!

    I agree with Johnny and thought the same about the Blackglama ads. Same idea, same typeface. God love Bebe, but yea..they’re more worried about the glasses in this instance

    I was rooting for Nina but was happy with Bebe winning over Mz. Glasscock, but this ad just totally disrespects Bebe and drag. Granted, I can recognize those luscious lips as hers the rest of her gorgeous face is shrouded by Kiwk-E-Mart beach sunglasses. Maybe next time around Ru should be there to make sure his winner, without a doubt overwhelmed by the sudden national stardom, doesn’t get railroaded by stylists trying to tone down our queerness.
