roadNathaniel Frank: Obama's 100 days of silence on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." "Barack Obama still has a good chance at succeeding where Bill Clinton failed on this issue. If he does that, his grade for the first 100 days may seem largely--but not entirely-- superfluous. Still, Obama should already have done what Clinton should also have done: issue an immediate executive order halting gay discharges. Contrary to popular belief, the current president still has that option: even though Congress has to repeal the law to get it off the books, nothing in the statute requires that findings of homosexual discharge ever be made."

  1. Miss California is "bearing false Tittness". Jesus won't be pleased.

  2. A theory about the Adam Lambert-quake last night: All the girl callers (the female ones, that is) who would have voted for Adam shifted to Alison to save the only female voice left -- plus Simon's remark on Tuesday picking her as being the one in trouble.

  3. Did Justin Timberlake decide to branch into liquor after seeing the overwhelming demand of the American public for his putrid clothes?

He needs to go away...and take Ashton Kutcher with him.

  4. I don't think we should be skewering Paula Abdul for doing an interview with an overly flamboyant gay person and treating it as if it were normal. Actually, I think she should be praised for it.

disclaimer: haven't seen it. Wacky subject-matter could lead me to change my mind

  5. Marie Osmond has a lesbian daughter--awww...bless her heart. Couldn't happen to a nicer person. I bet she and her closet-case brother will have fun wiping the egg off of their faces for backing Prop 8. Idiots!

  6. MORMON realestate scammers
    read the comments:
They scammed us and are still destroying our credit after fraudulantely taking our home which still remains in our name but we were forced to leave. We still retain the first mortgage on the house and for the past two years, the Tuckers have been renting it out, not paying the mortgage, and destroying our credit. Please, if there is any justice left in Ventura/LA county, we deserve to get our home back.

I will be at the sentencing if I can make it down to LA in July.

Funny thing about the whole Mormon church thing is the Tuckers even had the Stake President on their side. In my particular case, the Stake President instructed a Bishop to not touch the Tuckers because they had promised him they were going to give all their assets to the Church. Therefore, the money and assets that the Tuckers had acquired “really belonged to the Lord.” Thanks a lot Stake President for sticking up for all the young couples, families with children, and widows who lost nearly everything because you refused to act. Shame on you. I think he owes us a big fat apology but I’m sure we’ll never get one.

  7. I think it's great that Americans are able to choose bigger breasts. We live in a land that you can choose big breasts or small breasts and, you know what, in my country and my family I think that I believe that breasts should be the size God gave you. No offense to anyone out there but that's how I was raised and that's how I think breasts should be the size God gave you.

  8. Umm, is Adam Lambert being in the bottom 2 of American Idol REALLY news? Anyone that watches the show knows this happens quite often--fans of favorites get complacent and the fans of those struggling go crazy to save their contestant. It doesn't mean anything. But at the same time, as many people as I hear say how much they think Glambert is the second coming of the show, an equal number think he's utterly over the top and much more suited to Broadway or Vegas than a recording career. So just because everyone doesn't drink his Kool-Aid doesn't mean it's news.

  10. Great letter, Isaac. Thanks.

  11. So does this mean Carrie is not "biblically correct"?

    Posted by: Michael | Apr 30, 2009 4:38:50 PM

  12. Crispy, LOL at that but should it say:

"We live in a land that you can choose big breasts or OPPOSITE breasts"

  13. I would go to an Adam Lambert show in Vegas. A permanent show with his name would probably be a great money-making idea for all involved.

  14. Or we could choose Beauty Queens or Opposite Beauty Queens.

I guess Beauty Queens were chosen and not Opposite ones.

    "Bear False Tittness"--Brilliant.

  15. Awesome, my rep voted yes on the hate crimes bill. Even though he's republican and represents a very conservative district. Sweet.

  16. Adam's Mad World and Track of My Tears weren't OTT. But, I love all his stuff. He's so talented. Adam was never going to win a Conservative, Fox owned, Middle America Talent show. He's not shy about his past and he's pretty flamboyant. He's done enough to further his career so he should be happy. Danny is the perfect fit for the Fox Network King.

  17. "Friendly Fire" author Nathaniel Frank's analysis of "100 Days of Silence" on DADT is brilliant. I urge everyone to read it [and his book].

".....Lacking a battle plan is candy to your enemies.....Contrary to popular belief, [Obama could halt discharges immediately]: even though Congress has to repeal the law to get it off the books, nothing in the statute requires that findings of homosexual discharge ever be made. That wording of the law, along with the president's constitutional and statutory authority to suspend military separations when in the interest of national security still give him the power to cease firing gay troops right now."

  18. Bearing false titness [<--brilliant!] 6 weeks before the Miss USA pageant.

    How conveeeeeeenient.

    A vapid, hypocritical, clueless fool.

It's extra-hilarious to see the National Organization for Marriage now trotting her out as a spokesperson. What, a current (vs. future) porn starlet wasn't available?

  19. While I was surprised at first at Adam being in the bottom 2/3, I don't think that the universe was about to be explode when he landed there. As some have already said, for those who cream at the sight of Glambert, there's just as many who don't like him or couldn't care less. I'm gay but I don't think he's the second coming. I like Kris Allen better but then again, I like Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson.

  20. Let us pray that her future hubby loves 'em, and the homosexuals down the street renounce their sinful ways.

Let us pray that they don't leak.

  21. Oh, look. Leland Frances/Michael Bedwell has now made up yet another screen name to post under:

    Michael @

How very exciting for all of us who hang on her every bitter, vitriolic post!

  22. Adam Lambert has the same problem that Sam Harris did back in the day. He's not a pop star. He is a great candidate for musical theater stardom. He is a belter and needs a big place for his talent, I don't see him doing the type of music that gets played on the radio.

I have to say that at this point I'm bored with all of the guys and the chick was a breath of fresh air. I think she's the one to beat.

  23. You know after all these seasons if one has not seen how American Idol manipulates veiwers votes you are blind.

Also its not like some certifed accounting firm does the numbers and verifies them to be true. You have no idea who really vited for whom.

probably the best thing to happen to Adam lambert is to be voted off. Remember only 2 others that have won have decent craeers and Hudson who only made it to the top 5 was the only one to come out of ot with a REAL Career.

Oh ans while we are at it could we please have some more Rtan Seacrest bashing. If any closet case ever deserved it its Ryan.

  24. The results shows that Lambert is losing his appeal. People are realising the talents around him such as Kris and Allison, the dark horses. The problem may be that Lambert never had a story of progression enough for reality shows like American Idol, he has been doing this for the last 10 years. Kris and Allison have both matured and metamorphosised into real and likeable personalities in this reality show, and Danny had a sad tale to begin with. As we all know, winning in a reality show is not only about your singing. Lambert's voice is great for some but annoying to others.
