Danny Gokey Fail: 'Billie Jean' Lyrics Blow Away
American Idol contestant Danny Gokey made his Idol hometown visit to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and began performing Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean". Unfortunately, the lyrics blew away...and he didn't know them.

He's got a nice voice but he is SO boring! And why in hell would he do a cover version of Billie Jean after David Cook did the Chris Cornell version last year? This sounds, again, BORING! Alison should have stayed and Danny should have gone home.

Can we please swap Allison back in instead of this guy? I think the problem has been that Adam (awesome), Allison (awesome and totally underrated), and Kris (adorable, talented) have been splitting the vote among people who actually care about music, and Danny has had the fundie vote all to himself. Blech. Adam for the win!

Was he ever really married? He played that up to the hilt! He's nothing with nothing.
Jon B, I am afraid of the same scary thing happening. Every freaking song sounds the same with a capital BORING and when the judges say how great he is I just want to puke! When you think of some of the "winners" America (and the judges) have picked already, Fantasia, Ruben, Taylor Hicks, Jordan Sparks. Somehow they rode a magic carpet to the top of the dung heap and then what? NOTHING! That's because they are really not talented and I would hate to see it happen again. Although I wanted David Archuleta to win because I felt his voice was extremely pure, David Cook is also very good and worth the win. America has made many mistakes; we can only hope that Danny or Kris won't be another one.
And besides, you can't have no fags in the entertainment industry.

While I'm no fan of Gokey, it should be noted that Kris is also a "fundie", from a seriously conservative church. I know, I know, he's hot and talented so he should escape our contempt, but I wonder what his views on gay people are?? If they're along the traditional lines of "Love the sinner, hate the sin" I sure won't be buying any of his music.

Ok, this fundie Christian is annoyed, to say the least. Don't liberals always talk about acceptance for all? Funny how that goes out the window when it comes to any acceptance of conservative Christians. I actually prefer Adam over Danny (very close, almost a tie) so what do you all have to say about that? Grab those planks out of your eyes.

I'm not hating on Danny, I just don't care for him. He is really boring, no range, and absolutely NO star/sex appeal. Adam all the way!!!

I agree with Beth - we can spew pages of comments when the "reds" hate on us, why can't we just say " I don't care for him" and leave it at that?
I actually prefer Kris of the three that are left. Adam is so predictable. He's good, but I just don't see him playing on the radio. And the middle of every song will have that gawdawful screech. Why should we go ga-ga over him just because he's gay?
Although, I do so like a good Queen song now and again ....

Jim, you think that Adam is more predictable than Kris? Completely disagree. If you've been watching religiously, you know that Adam can and will do anything. Kris however, does the same Jack-Johnson style to anything and everything. Watch Adam's Ring of Fire, Mad World, and Black or White back to back. Three completely different songs, completely different arrangements and completely different performances. Yes, he has his signature note [which is what I think you meant by "gawdawful screech"] but he gives us something to remember.
I don't think most people are going ga-ga over him just because he's gay. It is because he's the best performer to ever appear on that stage.
Oh, and he's sexy. But that's just a bonus.

Danny Gokey.....the biggest joke in American Idol history. Only reason he has made it as far as he has is ....Middle America.
I'd rather go to bed listening to Taylor Hicks serenade me to sleep every evening than hear another Gokey "performance" (use that term loosely)

If you guys hate Danny so friekn much than why did everyone vote him in the top 3.-EXACTLY .. and don't bring him gettin all the Christian voters into anything because that is an irrogant statement. Allison was good but the majority of America wanted Danny. ALso don't insult his wifes death. American Idol is a television show, they try and get the most out of everything for good ratings.-Leave the guy alone- u try memorizing all those songs in that short of time.-actually u go on to american idol and see how easy it is.
