Watch: This Weekend's 'Great Global Kiss-In'

The "Great Global Kiss-In" is in full swing with kiss-ins having taken place in cities all over the world this weekend. Another round is scheduled to take place tomorrow, May 17, the actual International Day Against Homophobia.

For a list of kiss-ins that took place in cities in the US and elsewhere this weekend as well as those that will happen tomorrow, click here.

  1. This is nothing but a silly fad. PDA does not advance the equality struggle. LesBiGay people are not fighting for the right to kiss. We are fighting for our constitutional rights.

  2. Perhaps. But nothing provokes the homophobe like two people of the same sex kissing. And nothing expresses solidarity more than kissing another human being of the same sex. It's a political statement and a strong statement at that. It goes hand-in-hand with the movement for civil equality and constitutional rights for LGBT people.

  3. @Stuffed Animal

I profoundly disagree. Campaigns of public display of affection are very effective in combating homophobia. In part the legislation of homophobia is an attempt to make us invisible and to discourage homosexuality (as if it could be turned on and off). The more we make ourselves known to others, the more we advance our cause and our place in the societal norm.
